Something just moved in my stomach..

Ohshitx · 24/05/2020 17:44

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

OP if you're anywhere near me, I'm just outside glasgow. I have loads of 0-6 month baby bits, some boy some neutral. I also have a Moses basket that was due to be donated after lockdown if it helps?

FelicisNox · 25/05/2020 19:51

It could be a hernia, or a herniated disc; I have to herniated discs and they make my stomach muscles contract/ripple and generally behave very strangely, much like you described.

I also have a hernia and it makes me look pregnant.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 25/05/2020 19:53

Your a really mean bunch on here tonight. Be happy. Be kind.

Maybe you should take your own advice, you were hardly kind to the op,who had a huge shock.

For fuck sake @FelicisNox read the updates.

EarringsandLipstick · 25/05/2020 19:53

Sorry to distract from thread but watching poster after poster come on...'it's wind OP', 'could it be a prolapse?' is hilarious as is 'RTfuckingThread 😂

(& what a story OP, congratulations & good luck ... your poor head must be a complete mess)

EarringsandLipstick · 25/05/2020 19:54

Another one from @FelicisNox as I typed 🤣

Someone1987 · 25/05/2020 19:56

What was the outcome? CBA to read 17 pages Grin

IHateCoronavirus · 25/05/2020 19:57

Bear congratulations I hope as time goes on it becomes your greatest adventure yet. I’m sure DC will be smitten.

ChasingRainbows19 · 25/05/2020 20:03

Op maybe get confirmation from doctors or midwives before you tell anyone if that helps. You'll know for definite and also have idea of exactly where you are at. Congratulations btw. What a surprise.

starsparkle08 · 25/05/2020 20:07

Congratulations .

I imagine it is a shock and will take time to adjust, be kind to yourself and think how you want to tell people and when. You’ve only just found out yourself so give yourself chance to process this

Take care of yourself xx

Instatwat · 25/05/2020 20:12

@Jeeperscreepers69 No. You do NOT get to play victim now. You were happy enough to write a really judgy, rude comment to the OP which was totally inappropriate to the situation, so you don’t get to be annoyed when people are “mean” to you.

Healthyandhappy · 25/05/2020 20:18

Congratulations xx

Megatron · 25/05/2020 20:19

If i thought i was pregnant i wouldnt be clarting on name changing and telling a bunch of strangers on internet id be dealing with it asap.

Was this you 'being kind' to the OP @Jeeperscreepers69? Bloody hell, I'd hate to think what you'd say if you weren't.

OP, hope you're ok, exciting times ahead!

MimsyBorogroves · 25/05/2020 20:24

Congratulations. It must be a heck of a thing to get your head around. Take some time.

shellysheridan · 25/05/2020 20:25

Congratulations!
Does your FWB have children already?

JuneJuly · 25/05/2020 20:26

Why can people not just zoom through the pages to just read OP's posts?🙄

Even if they don't want to read all the posts in the thread, at least by doing this they're getting the whole story.

SRS29 · 25/05/2020 20:29

Wow OP, just to say good luck....please do not worry too much, see the midwives etc. and generally take care Flowers

Dyra · 25/05/2020 20:30

Oh wow OP! Congratulations! What an absolute shock. I imagine it's a lot to process right now, but definitely tell a close friend or relative to help you though it tonight.

NGL, it's good to know from the first page that feeling 'movements' is so common. Despite 3 negative tests, I was starting to get worried.

JaineyMac · 25/05/2020 20:34

Congratulations!!! What exciting news!

MeantToBeWriting · 25/05/2020 20:37

Is your FWB a decent man? Is he involved with anyone else? Would you trust him to take care of your child?

TheSmelliestHouse · 25/05/2020 20:37

Congratulations op. Hope you're OK.

Ohshitx · 25/05/2020 20:39

He’s a decent man, I mean I think he is. I guess we’ll soon know. He’s not got kids, and isn’t involved with anyone else. I think I’m just going to take tonight to sit on it. I’ll phone docs/midwife tomorrow and then take it from there with regards to telling him.

Congratulations! What a shock. Amazing though. Hope you're ok.

SevenOfNineTails · 25/05/2020 20:45

Good luck OP sending you lots of love 💕 xx

allthesharks · 25/05/2020 20:46

Congratulations OP. I am also due in August. I apologise if this has been mentioned (I have read all of the OPs posts so I do know that she's pregnant). In my NHS trust you can self refer for maternity care using the online form, you don't have to go via the GP. If your trust do something similar you may be able to complete the form now so you'll feel as though you've got the ball rolling and then tomorrow give the community midwives a call to flag to them that they need to look at it urgently.
