Something just moved in my stomach..

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

Or reading back maybe not!!! Wow congratulations!

Lisette1940 · 25/05/2020 14:48

I honestly thought it would be wind!

KingaRoo · 25/05/2020 14:57

Congratulations! At least you've had an easy pregnancy so far Grin

You’re not alone OP, I’m a midwife sonographer and I’ve done many, many scans on women who haven’t found out until later on in pregnancy. I’m sure it must’ve come as a massive shock though, hope you’re ok Flowers

SpringSpringTime · 25/05/2020 15:09

Oh OP what a shock! Congratulations, though!

Devlesko · 25/05/2020 15:13

Told you, the same happened to me.
Gosh, it will take some coming to terms with.
Congratulations. Thanks

WoollyMammouth · 25/05/2020 15:16

Oh wow! You need to phone the GP, midwife, someone.

BorisTheBellend · 25/05/2020 15:18

Wow I've googled this a few times as I often get fluttery feelings and even feeling like there's a foot jammed somewhere. But happy to say it was always just wind/IBS with me.

Hope you're doing ok OP, I'm sure it must be quite the shock.

Wow! Definitely ring your local midwife. They’ll try and book you in for a scan ASAP.

Desertislanddreamer · 25/05/2020 15:24

Oh wow OP! What a shock this must be! Congratulations Flowers

ProseccoSupernova · 25/05/2020 15:26

Wow! Can you remember the rough date in November?

chocolatebuttons1 · 25/05/2020 15:41

Did you have regular periods since November?

Also worth bearing in mind that although rare, false positives can happen. Ring the midwife ASAP

poppet31 · 25/05/2020 15:49

Wow, what a shock for you! My mum had a surprise pregnancy when I was 21. It does happen. I hope you manage to get a scan soon and get an idea of how far along you are.

Cosmos45 · 25/05/2020 15:52

Congratulations OP!

Something similar happened to someone I know but the first time she knew she was pregnant was when she was in labour giving birth. She had two children already, and the third is 12mths older than the second child. No pregnancy symptons at all, she was post partum anyway so thought the weight was just not losing the 2nd baby weight though she was by no means big. Flat stomach and no signs of pregnancy at all unlike the two before. She felt really unwell and her husband called an ambulance, they suspected appendicitis and she was rushed to hospital where they scanned her and found she was in labour and baby no 3 arrived a few hours later. To this day she swears she had no idea.. apparently it is a thing!

SouthernComforts · 25/05/2020 15:52

@saylor nope I was a size 8/10! I didn't show until around 25 weeks. At 28 weeks when I had dd I was still in my normal clothes. When I lay down I had no bump at all even lying on the bed waiting for the c-section!

20viona · 25/05/2020 15:54

Wow congrats please update once you have had a scan would love to hear !

peachypetite · 25/05/2020 15:58

Oh my god you must be in shock! Do you have good support around you/someone you can confide in?

user1498572889 · 25/05/2020 16:02

Oh wow. What a shock. Hope it turns out to be a happy one x

81Byerley · 25/05/2020 16:03

My friend adopted a baby because both she and her husband had problems, and she hadn't had a period for 12 years. When the baby was 8 months old, she found out she was 28 weeks pregnant, and gave birth 4 weeks later!
Congratulations, @Ohshitx !!

SunshineCake · 25/05/2020 16:05

Oh my goodness, are you ok, *@Ohshitx? Probably not.

Could you get another test that says how many weeks you are though I am assuming they only say 4 or 6+.

Maybe call the doctor?

Take care and don't fret about the fact you have been out. I'm sure you have been careful.

FilledSoda · 25/05/2020 16:10

Wow , that's some surprise ,
I hope you're okay

icansmellburningleaves · 25/05/2020 16:11
