Dowser, they’re just outside York

We cross posted

I must admit, I’ve not heard of the other place you mentioned

I’m hearing that NT gardens are opening up but certainly not in London.

Dowser · 17/05/2020 22:52

According to their website they are closed, but I rang the phone number, I think I spoke to someone in the big house who told me about being open to locals.

PickAChew · 17/05/2020 22:53

I've not been in Lewis and Cooper's for ages.

DamnYankee · 17/05/2020 22:54

@Shodan

Pinot blush? Never heard of it! Sounds yummy. Slightly sweeter, I'm guessing?

I'm about to have a glass of Sauvingon Blanc; however, my well-meaning husband bought a second bottle of "light" SV by accident. Huge bottle of it. It wasn't obvious. Tiny print. Not a jab, either. Understandable mistake.
But yuck.
At least there's tequila and margarita mix.

Dowser · 17/05/2020 22:56

The car park at Sutton bank near Kilburn and the white horse is open, if they are north of york
My daughter was there yesterday with her kids
You can combine it with Byland abbey , beautiful in late afternoon sun and the lake near the side of the road out of coxwold...belongs to Newburgh priory , usually loads of wild birds on there. Once saw a baby deer cross right in front of us.
You can then head back past the alpaca farm if you google it
You can see the alpacas from the road

It’s amazing what you can find for free.

Willitneverend · 17/05/2020 22:57

Ian Blackford was dementoring away about Booking.com and steam trains a few weeks ago saying they shouldn't take bookings during lockdown. But didnt seem to be able to grasp that nobody had told them when lockdown was ending.

The SNP folk all seem to be doing their nuts about Rishi Sunak not agreeing to extend the furlough scheme in Scotland. Well who'd have thunk?

littlbrowndog · 17/05/2020 22:59

Blackford don’t like fun.

He is enjoying the fuck out of fun for the whole of Scotland

highmarkingsnowmobile · 17/05/2020 22:59

Just had to unfriend a mask Dementor I've known in real life for years. I mean, we met in a really highly-charged setting (a paediatric oncology unit). She's sharing signs and memes advocating assaulting those who don't use masks - whilst jogging, whilst out, etc. Shes' lost the fucking plot over this, I mean, she makes me, who has PTSD and depression, look pretty even-keeled.

LilacTree1 · 17/05/2020 23:00

Dowser that sounds amazing

It makes me want to get on a train to York myself. Which is not illegal.....!

But there’s nowhere open to use a loo.

Pertella · 17/05/2020 23:00

I cant wait for shopping centres to reopen so I can commit genocide.

Dowser · 17/05/2020 23:00

Lewis and coopers is a gourmets dream come true..but you need deep pockets
Posh nosh doesn’t come cheap..oh why didn’t I get more packs of half price bendicks
I’m a Covididiot all right
Do you know if you go out of Northallerton on the Brompton road, You pass lenthor farm, that has a stone circle
Derrick, the farmer, dowsed the stones. He’s happy to let people onto the land, I’d always ask permission first, he’s a lovely man and happy to share with others
In happier times he allows camping and has some pods for hire.

LilacTree1 · 17/05/2020 23:01

high assault? Does she post under her real name?

littlbrowndog · 17/05/2020 23:01

Does he even know what’s it’s like to have 3 under 6 yrs in a flat.

As a single parent

Let us out

ilovecardigans · 17/05/2020 23:05

Message to Blackford

Dowser · 17/05/2020 23:05

I intend to look on this period as what I did do..not what we didn’t.
If I’m meant to go
I’ll go living
Not cowering in my bunker

Dowser · 17/05/2020 23:06

I was pleasantly surprised that the only person I saw wearing a mask in northern
Had it under her chin
Well done that woman 😂

Mascotte · 17/05/2020 23:07
