If I was her housemate I'd happily move in with my boyfriend and she can pay the rent by herself. Far rather that than someone spying on my every move and tutting and writing to a bloody newspaper about the fact I saw my boyfriend and clutch pearls had sex!

AlexisCarringtonColbyDexter · 17/05/2020 19:55

I'm surprised at Mariella, i thought she had more common sense!

PopcornAndWine · 17/05/2020 19:56

Following!

BarkandCheese · 17/05/2020 20:01

I can’t wait to picnic on the beach so I appreciate the new title.

Mascotte · 17/05/2020 20:03

@SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito I'm a despicable murdering prick 😂😂

I've actually been too busy out flagrantly flouting to read the thread and lacked inspiration.. next thread! I'm familiar with the oeuvre of Taylor Swift, if not Harry Potter 😃 Blank Space is my murdering song.

We've had a lovely weekend too. Friends (2 of them, shock, horror) for distanced birthday drinks & fizz in the garden and DD's friend today - they had a walk & tea & cake in the garden while I was gardening. Almost felt normal

SummerHouse · 17/05/2020 20:03

This is an interesting perspective against dementoring of teachers. Although it's fuel for the anti schools going back dementoring. But it made me think. And I don't want to be an anti dementor dementor. So to be clear - this is slightly 'schools shouldn't go back' dementoring but with an anti teacher dementoring twist. I have immense sympathy for schools and parents who don't want to send kids back but overall I absolutely think they should open. My school have been amazing.

I have found my people! Thank you all for making me realise I'm not alone!! We went to our beach today, normally packed but was quite quiet, bought some chips, sat in the sun, everyone was happy and respectful of everyone else! Really helped my mh! X

Campervan69 · 17/05/2020 20:07

Hi peeps. We have trips to the beach planned for Monday and Wednesday and father-in-law is going to drive himself separately to the same beach on Wednesday and sit outside his car and we will chat from a safe distance from our campervan.

On Tuesday the boys are all going to a fishery now that fishing is once again allowed and again everybody is very much looking forward to this.

ilovecardigans · 17/05/2020 20:09

Apparently Orcas have been sighted off the coast here. Local fisherman has got them on film! Shock

Think I'll go and spend tomorrow afternoon walking along the cliffs complete with my backpack of death and see if I can spot them (will probably wet myself with excitement if I do!).

BarkandCheese · 17/05/2020 20:10

It’s nice to see so many people posting about going out, seeing friends and family and having fun. Smile

littlbrowndog · 17/05/2020 20:14

Loads off people out and about in Scotland today.

Seen workies doing workie stuff but know a lot off them can’t get supplies

So glad this thread is here. Makes me feel normal

Waleshasgonecompletelycrazy · 17/05/2020 20:14

That sounds like another planet. I need to move over the border! Lovely to hear everyone enjoying things

mightbealittlebitmad · 17/05/2020 20:15

We went for a walk/bike ride round a trail that we go to. Car park was closed so we along with everyone else parked on the side of the road. Fairly busy with several kinds of people from older couples to families with kids. Park taped off like some crime scene but everyone seemed entirely normal, no leaping out of the way of my crazy toddler who I was desperately trying to keep under control, smiles and pleasantries were exchanged.

Some of the threads on here are depressing, people willing to stay apart from their friends and families indefinitely is just mad, especially when there are no high risk people involved.

Placemarking

Hobnobswantshernameback · 17/05/2020 20:17

Seems there's a fragile soul in site stuff

Drivingdownthe101 · 17/05/2020 20:17

We haven’t done any flouting yet, flagrant or otherwise. Spent the whole weekend painting my bedroom!
Just filling the chavvy sex pond ready for the improved weather though. That’ll murder a few HCP’s.

maria860 · 17/05/2020 20:22

Yes found it

Waxonwaxoff0 · 17/05/2020 20:25

Yeah, new thread! Wasn't too active on the last one, been trying to stay offline for a bit as I'm becoming addicted to my phone Blush

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 17/05/2020 20:26

Place marking. Greetings.

HauntedGoatFart · 17/05/2020 20:29

I've stayed right off the news and any obviously Demented threads the last few days, and I've gotta say, I recommend it. I haven't missed any important developments and I have benefited my own sanity considerably.

TheGreatWave · 17/05/2020 20:31

Boyes department store opened for first time

How did I miss this news? That has to be next on my list of places to go.

Nihiloxica · 17/05/2020 20:32

Maybe I should also stay off the internet. I don't think it's doing me any good.

Mascotte · 17/05/2020 20:33

I love a department store. My favourite of all time was in Copenhagen. The men's department reminded me of Gatsby's wardrobes.
