I’m in Scotland @whoopso
Let me tell you about what we are dealing with:
A 4 year old who evidently needs a level of education and stimulation we cannot meet anymore.
A 2 year old who needs constant supervision as his love of water and pens and generally anything he can squish or scribble in a rented house we have to give back in October.
A 1 year old who is learning to walk but needs to be guarded against whacking her chin off anymore fireplaces (that was yesterday)
Two PT (4 days) working parents
One working for the NHS and the other Police and neither classed as key workers meaning our colleagues south of the border get childcare but our council says no
Lockdown where we are in being extended for weeks meaning we have no hope of being able to really look at somewhere to live until potentially July and the anxiety around that.
Our daughter facing the real prospect of not getting to start P1 with her chums in August as she may be bumped to January if our council gets its wish.
And finally our baby waking at 5am and the last child going to sleep at 8pm as their routines are starting to warp even though we are keeping to them.
But please - don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story. That’s the last you’ll be hearing from me.
