OP posts:
LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 09/05/2020 16:11

Batman vs Superman...seemed to go on and on and the way their conflict was halted...

thisusernameismine · 09/05/2020 16:11

Absolutely every film with Nicholas Cage.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 09/05/2020 16:12

Anything by Michael Bay. He can even make robots racist.

Anythig that portrays mental illness as tortured souls who are going to explode. Looking at you, Bradley Cooper, Russell Crowe etc.

Anything with Jennifer Anniston. She is a plank.

Ironfloor269 · 09/05/2020 16:13

Dirty dancing

AuntieMarys · 09/05/2020 16:13

Mama Mia.
LaLa Land.
And I love a musical.

DrCoconut · 09/05/2020 16:14

I agree about the Blair witch project. It has the dubious honour of being the only blockbuster rental that I didn't finish watching. Mostly I'd think I've rented it, may as well watch to the end. But not that.

ByzantinePrincess · 09/05/2020 16:59

Nicholas Cage has been in good films. Raising Arizona is one of my favourite feel-good comedies of all time, and if you’re looking for silly action flicks then Face/Off and Con Air can be enjoyable enough

NeutralJanet · 09/05/2020 17:14

I can't wait to see Nicholas Cage as Joe Exotic.

TheSandman · 09/05/2020 20:01

@Nowordforfluffy

You're perfectly entitled to like or dislike what you want. It would be a dull old world if we all liked the same thing. I was just asking what you considered to be 'non shit'?

But if you don't have any films that you are passionate enough about to want to share when asked, well I guess that's your prerogative too. Pity.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/05/2020 20:05

That isn't what this thread is about, quite frankly.

Go and badger some other poor sod about what films they like. In a thread about films they don't like.

CalmConfident · 09/05/2020 20:21

@thisusernameismine nailed it! Grin

ShagMeRiggins · 09/05/2020 20:22

Absolutely every film with Nicholas Cage.

Even Valley Girl? Even Honeymoon in Vegas?” Even The Rock with Sean Connery? Sheesh, tough crowd.

can't wait to see Nicholas Cage as Joe Exotic.

Brilliant. Perfect casting.

JimmyTheWeed · 09/05/2020 20:24

Beetlejuice and Cayote Ugly. A friend of mine years ago told me that they were his two very favourite films. I was Hmm

Leflic · 09/05/2020 21:39

Four Weddings and A Funeral is on. Obviously not a bad film but each time I watch it Andie MacDowell gets worse. If that’s even possible.

She is SO shit in this. It’s grating badly now. I reckon this us the last time ever I can watch it.

Viviennemary · 09/05/2020 21:43

Mama Mia hated it
Slumdog millionaire. Loathed that too. Wish I had never seen it.
Marigold Hotel. Total drivel.

Ursaminor · 09/05/2020 21:54

Wall-e . Watched it at the cinema and had a loo break just to escape the tedium.
Captain Corelli's Mandolin, also at the cinema I can't remember anything about it, except that I put had my coat on thinking it was the end, and it went on for another excruciating thirty minutes.

Ursaminor · 09/05/2020 21:56

Re Nicholas Cage: "Moonstruck" is my favourite film ever!

Leflic · 09/05/2020 22:12

Oh god. She’s doing the bed scene where she said “ sure I can resist you”. She’s awful. Literally makes up the character one line at a time.
I. Can.Never.Watch. This. Again.

TheSandman · 09/05/2020 22:52

??? yeah, whatever.

Films I consider too shit to be worth bothering watching that I have watched recently - but other people may probably REALLY like:

The Interplanetary Surplus Male and Amazon Women of Outer Space (2003) - though in this case I seriously doubt it.

Promethus I'm ok with people doing one, maybe two stupid things per movie to keep the plot going but when they walk around being as fecking numnutz stupid as this lot...

Valarian huge budget and a shitload of SFX which just pissed all over the source material.

Bula Quo - Status Quo comedy thriller movie in which our lads foil an organ-stealing Russian Roulette gang and still make it to the gig on time - which is even crapper than it sounds.

And Mama Mia

rayoflightboy · 10/05/2020 11:57

Event Horizon is lauded on here.I watched it and thought it was crap.

Masters of Disguise,is absolutely, positively the worst film I have ever seen.
It's a kids film, awful

Mammyloveswine · 10/05/2020 12:13

Lost in translation... totally pointless and irritating! But then I find Scarlett johanson very smug... I found myself particularly irritated by her in "hes just not that into you". I think it's her face.. similarly to Keira knightly there's a certain "smug expression" both have.

I walked out of one film once upon a time but can't even remember the name.... it was shockingly bad! Think it had jack black in and was about living in the Stone Age?

Viviennemary · 10/05/2020 12:36

Nobody likes downsizing. Sad I did but have to agree it was a bit um far fetched.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 10/05/2020 12:36

Forgot about A Simple Favour. Horrendous.

borntohula · 10/05/2020 12:36

The Nicholas Cage 'Wicker Man' remake.

borntohula · 10/05/2020 12:37

And 'The Room' with Tommy Wiseau but it's so bad, it's amazing.
