Take your shaming and your doom and gloom somewhere else.

Grin Don’t forget the ‘stop buying flour because there’s none left for me’ dementors usually accompanied with accusations of wasting food by making play doh or pasta pictures. Our children should all be educated and entertained by a broken shoelace and a lump of concrete anything else is a WASTE!
Also the off shoot from Brexit - ‘stop letting foreigners bring this disease into the country’ which I used to have on FB (now blocked)

Where the hell is that shitstorm from?

DioneTheDiabolist · 06/05/2020 23:35

That bingo card.GrinGrinGrin

LilacTree1 · 06/05/2020 23:37

Springers - I guess it’s like the anglers association saying don’t fish. I heard a guy on the radio saying how much money he had for the week, how far it would go if he did his usual fishing that week and how much he could get at the shop.

Alsohuman- I’m just really hoping those people do nothing but work and I can do things like go to the National Gallery in peace.

oochie · 06/05/2020 23:40

Don't forget the kids should really only be sitting still in case they injure themselves.

JackieFazaki · 06/05/2020 23:41

Brilliant bingo card.Grin

TitianaTitsling · 06/05/2020 23:42

Eeeeh! Broken shoelace AND a lump of concrete?! We used to dream of such luxury @scrappydappydoo

Willitneverend · 06/05/2020 23:53

I saw a family letting their toddler play in the bunker of the local golf course today. This has been strictly verboten on the town Facebook as it causes death (obviously) and also upsets golfers who can't play in the bunkers themselves, as they obviously have the same developmental needs and alternative diversions available as a toddler who is confined to the house most of the time.

Oh, loving it! 'I went out ONCE, in 7 weeks, to a supermarket that had social distancing in place, wearing a triple-ply mask and gloves and I contracted the virus!' Hmm

I deserve The Kiss! Mea culpa! I live in a rural place, the nearest shop, a Premier, is 40 mins. brisk walk (I am a hillwalker of many years) one way, the nearest supermarket is 2.7 miles and it is not flat. I have walked to both, to buy alcohol!

On top of this, I wanted to create on of those stick trees with fairy lights at home. I had 3 long sticks of driftwood so I put them in a sack and walked 4.5 miles out to the beach where I got them, to find enough suitable sticks to make the tree, and back, of course. It was non-essential. I am going to hell, I know!

TinRoofRusty · 06/05/2020 23:59

The wind was blowing, no one was wearing masks. This is my last post as I will soon be DEAD. I won't go to hospital, I do not deserve NHS treatment for my selfishness. I know. I need to go flagellate myself under a nearly full moon.

TinRoofRusty · 07/05/2020 00:02

I probably killed a hundred sheep with my breath!

In my Australian state the first two year levels and the last two year levels are going back to school on Monday, with all year levels to follow two weeks later. The dementors are losing their shit over this with the usual children and teachers dying horrible deaths bingo.

But what has really set them off is the announcement from the Education Dept that teachers are to focus only on classroom learning. They are not to support home-schooling anymore, with the exception of genuinely medically vulnerable children. The dementors are losing their fucking minds over this. By keeping their kids home, they can revel in the fact that they love their children more than the rest of us. However, the kids of us dirty uncaring virus-spreading murderers will be getting an educational advantage. This is unfair as their kids are more loved and more important.

It’s going to be epic on Monday. I’m dying to see how long the dementor parents hold out.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 07/05/2020 06:31

Place marking!!

Can't wait for the Monday announcement. I've been reading rumours about lifting the limit on how often we can go out and being allowed to have gasp PICNICS!

TeacupDrama · 07/05/2020 06:59

Was thinking of changing user name to "cheese on coffee" or would "parmesan cappuccino" be better? to remind myself milk is not an essential purchase and you can use cheese instead 🤣😂🤣😂 said as she recklessly went to village shop to post one letter and buy milk

TitianaTitsling · 07/05/2020 07:30

@TheKrakening3 do Australian Dementors communicate in CAPITALS mainly too?!

TitianaTitsling · 07/05/2020 07:35

I agree with Prison Mike

mummypie17 · 07/05/2020 07:36

Yep, I have a dementer amongst my FB friends (will be unfollowing her). She's constantly saying that the army needs to be brought in and lockdown done properly. She also posts about 'annoying people' who have done certain things that flout the rules. Coincidentally, she has always worked from home and is estranged from most of her family before lockdown.

Ijustcalled · 07/05/2020 07:40

Just posting to say thank you so much for these threads. They are the only reason I’m still on Mumsnet having previously left after being called a c*nt who would happily kill millions as I had sympathy for a poster who wanted to see her boyfriend. I have hidden the CV threads but enjoying the edited highlights here.

Littlebelina · 07/05/2020 07:46

A picnic waxon! You might as well go out with a machete.

(Just to say my tone is flippant but I do understand folks are scared. However think that some people have lost all sight of what is reasonable. Small changes like allowing us to go for a picnic will have limited to no effect on virus spread but will definitely improve every day life. We can't keep living in limbo forever or even much longer. )

BarkandCheese · 07/05/2020 07:50

Morning all. There’s a remarkably undementor like piece on the BBC site this morning. It very clearly sets out people’s perception of the risk to them versus the actual risk, it’s pretty eye opening and worth a read. www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52543692

MrsGradyOldLady · 07/05/2020 07:52

Not commented before but that bingo card is amazing Grin

Tappering · 07/05/2020 08:11

@Ijustcalled welcome to the thread!

I am currently debating back and forth on the NHS clapping thread. Apparently me not clapping means I am proud not to and that I can't be bothered to make an effort to appreciate the NHS.

Drivingdownthe101 · 07/05/2020 08:14

I clapped once, not again. I can’t see how me doing a seal impression on my doorstep every week helps the NHS in any way.

Noooblerooble · 07/05/2020 08:17

I have a few close friends who are clearly dementors and it is driving me a bit mad.

Easing lockdown = not caring about people in care homes dying = equals being horribly ableist and callous.

It's putting a really bad strain on those friendships. I don't get it, I really don't. Surely none of us wants anyone to die. But common sense says you don't lockdown everyone to protect people who are more likely than not at the very end of their lives and who often don't have much quality of life anyway.
