Take your shaming and your doom and gloom somewhere else.

@DominaShantotto

Think the online form is anonymous.

Dialdownthedrama · 07/05/2020 19:49

Some supreme dementors on the 'bunting' thread. Neighbour asking if you want bunting put up in your garden ahead of VE day anniversary celebrations tomorrow?. OP said no as her garden is lovely and doesn't want it spoiled by bunting for one day.

Fine if you don't want bunting in your garden for 1 day to celebrate the anniversary of VE day.

But the comments... it wasn't the end of the war, it was still going on in Japan (we know). Why would I celebrate the deaths of millions of people? (not what is being celebrated).

And the ultimate prize 'i'd have strung her up with the bunting'. Fucking really????

everythingisginandroses · 07/05/2020 19:51

If you 'reap what you sew', maybe the Dementors' arses are sewn into their sofas? They can sew it into their flaps, or something.

Orangeblossom78

We live in said rural West country with siren. It's from the near-by large stone quarry (it's normally used during the day to warn of when blasting is due to commence). It's the same as the siren in "The Purge" apparently....also some wag has renamed our village "District 12" (Hunger Games so I'm told), and added the words "may the odds be forever in your favour"

Orangeblossom78 · 07/05/2020 19:53

Oh God will they be nagging each other to put up bunting tomorrow as well? It's too much. At least in a flat don't have to worry about bunting.

We've no home schooling tomorrow and will be ignoring any telling how to celebrate VE day as well. If people want to that is lovely but why can't people leave each other alone?

Orangeblossom78 · 07/05/2020 19:54

Sounds scary trappedsincesunday

Orangeblossom78 · 07/05/2020 19:56

Another joy..

"I think that there should be a way for people who don't agree with the lockdown can go about what they want:

  1. They need to sign up so that if they get sick they won't be helped to save the NHS. It's their choice to risk it.
  2. If it's proven that they infected someone who died they take on the financial responsibility of that persons family.

Then it would be fair imo."

Orangeblossom78 · 07/05/2020 19:56

Sounds like a MURRDER trial to me

ChickenFight · 07/05/2020 19:57

My hairdresser can't reopen her salon yet but she's said she'll do home visits when allowed. 🙌🙌🙌🙌

I've told her to let me know the fucking split second it's allowed. I look like this.

@everythingisginandroses

Yes! There's a difference between sow and sew 🙂

LilacTree1 · 07/05/2020 20:04

Quieter here. The flats I can see opposite only have 2 people clapping, though a lot have gone into the street. But I’m pretty sure it’s less than last week.

Take out the ones doing it for kids, the ones who just make noise for the sake of it.....we have a reduction. Yay!

PineappleDanish · 07/05/2020 20:05

More suggestions for the bingo card:

You can't be too careful
Wiping down all groceries with Dettol
Increased traffic
Lockdown's being ignored already
Love spending time with my beautiful family

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 20:06

I'm in for Thursday Flapoers!

OutwardBound2016 · 07/05/2020 20:12

There is a certain Instagram star who looks like a seal during the Flap, I tune in every Thursday at 8pm to watch her whilst imagining her making seal noises (I do this instead of clapping myself, I’m a murderer I know)

Orangeblossom78 · 07/05/2020 20:18

Very short clapping heard here tonight

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 07/05/2020 20:20

Don't forget to put on the bingo card something about only shopping for essential items (which for some bizarre reason doesn't include cheese) and making sure you clock the old people shopping without permission.....

DominaShantotto · 07/05/2020 20:21

Yeah no clapping here - just car horns, whistles and clown horn twat whose horn now has Tourettes and will be randomly honking all night.

Last year it was a vuvzela - the horn is progress I guess. They were trying to play God Save the Queen on a fucking vuvuzela at 3am at one point.

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 20:40

Spotted: They've bulk bought body bags as they don't have enough coffins in stock so safer to keep lockdown

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 20:44

In fact, apparently in Scotland we don't have enough undertakers in stock either

OutwardBound2016 · 07/05/2020 21:03

The Flappers are getting as bored as Joe Wicks.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 07/05/2020 21:08

@Leighhalfpennysthigh why would it include cheese when milk isn’t essential?!

@Orangeblossom78 I’m jealous of you living in the West Country. I’ve suggested to DH we move that way when this is over and surprisingly he’s very keen.

GoldenOmber · 07/05/2020 21:15

They've bulk bought body bags

I would expect things like body bags get bulk bought anyway? I don't really want hospitals popping out to the body bag shop to pick them up individually every time someone dies.

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 07/05/2020 21:15

@PinkSparklyPussyCat because I need something to grate into my coffee when I run out of milk Shock

LilacTree1 · 07/05/2020 21:29

Domina “ Last year it was a vuvzela - the horn is progress I guess. They were trying to play God Save the Queen on a fucking vuvuzela at 3am at one point.”

What was happening last year?

TeacupDrama · 07/05/2020 21:32

@PinkSparklyPussyCat a dementor suggested several days ago that no-one needed to go out and buy milk "what's the obsession with milk, you could have water on your cereal and cheese is mde from milk so you could use grated cheese instead" hence the references to grated cheese on coffee
