Take your shaming and your doom and gloom somewhere else.

I want to see it now...

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 18:26

Though I've engaged again with a Chief Dementor.. didn't get a sleep so am grumpy as fuck with all this

bookworm14 · 07/05/2020 18:33

That maternity leave thread is bloody awful. So many cruel, sanctimonious pricks.

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 18:35

It's actually quite upsetting. MN have told them to stop but they haven't.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 07/05/2020 18:38

Jesus that thread is something else. The pure venom on there is off the scale.

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 07/05/2020 18:39

@Mascotte don't forget that the MN approved mat leave involved banning visitors for 12 months so they can bond as their own little family, then climbing mt Everest and Kilimanjaro in one weekend.

In the real world babies are born into and welcomed by families. Real people who want to meet their new little relative and even shock horror have a snuggle!

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 18:40

@Leighhalfpennysthigh outrageous! 😃

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 07/05/2020 18:40

Oh and I've never yet met a new parent who didn't want to show their baby off to everyone and anyone!

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 18:40

It's the best part!! 😂

DominaShantotto · 07/05/2020 18:56

Oh god, it's competitive clap social media hell night. I'll start drinking now.

RumbaswithPumbaas · 07/05/2020 18:57

Breaking news, the Bank of England thinks we’re set for the deepest recession since the great frost of 1705 (Times)

Signalling economy dementors

MagdaS · 07/05/2020 18:57

It’s awful and they should be ashamed of themselves Sad

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 18:59

I might be an economy dementor 😳

Oh, the fucking clap...

Sallycinnamum · 07/05/2020 19:00

I've just been on that thread. I'm actually ashamed to be part of the MN community reading some of those comments.

RumbaswithPumbaas · 07/05/2020 19:02

Surprising that the great frost was a bigger deal than the great fire of London and the plague

I let my mum cuddle my two kids after my sibling's funeral a couple of weeks ago (or was it one week? Time's so muddled.), as there was emerging advice it's fine. Astonishingly she's not actually dead now.

BogRollBOGOF · 07/05/2020 19:13

I might have been a tad sarcastic on a thread about a pop star and exercise and owned up to how many rural Murders that I may be responsible for by excessive running Grin

Alsohuman · 07/05/2020 19:16

That thread’s gone poof now. Bloody good thing too. Oh Jesus, the clapping dementors are going to be out soon, the lovers and the haters are just as bad as each other.

SummerHouse · 07/05/2020 19:18

I have just put my life on the line to go into work.

Luckily the traffic wasn't too bad and I drove carefully so I am home safe now.

Not all heroes wear capes.

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 19:19

@SummerHouse 😂

Mascotte · 07/05/2020 19:20

And I suspect the clappers and the haters are one and the same...

Alsohuman · 07/05/2020 19:21

We’re clappers. Lots of NHS workers on our street.

Orangeblossom78 · 07/05/2020 19:24

Yes the sad thing on here recently seems to be people turing on other mothers for having e.g. PND or having any kind of feelings other than those related to the virus of course...while this lockdown causes more problems for women in general and the young - with childcare for example preventing them being able to work

But none of them can see through this weird glaze of drama about the virus - it's really odd

Anyway, I remember posting about the BBC making a drama over 'clapping injuries' 'you could jump up after sitting all day and break your leg' etc www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52506114

Well now the latest is we are all going to DIE because of...drum roll..staying in is making is cook more and the related cooking particles are going to KILL US ALL - 'indoor air pollution is soaring'

inews.co.uk/news/environment/coronavirus-lockdown-indoor-air-pollution-soars-cooking-car-exhaust-pollution-2844909

Who knew staying at home could be so dangerous and risky? Confused

Orangeblossom78 · 07/05/2020 19:25

Well take care clappers don't risk your LIFE clapping and injuring yourself, take care
