I've just ordered a new thousand piece one from The Literary Gift Company, it's a book shelf Smile

John Lewis had some Cloudberries ones in stixk earlier this week - are they any good?

I'm doing the Colin thompson christmas cupboard one at the moment. Bought off Ebay and I will be selling on Ebay when I've finished to get my money back.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 01/05/2020 20:48

Oooo @Cocolepew

Fi3ldTrip · 01/05/2020 20:50

Just finished this, was huge.1000 pieces but bigger than Ravensburger. Lovely, every US state flower.

I have one of the London Underground to start tomorrow plus one which is my friend gave us which is a jigsaw of one of her paintings of the sea so going to be fiendish

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 01/05/2020 21:19

I love that coffee one....I still have one on the go from before christmas, got it in lidl or maybe aldi, and it is NY scenes....i am not liking it as it's all random angles and repeated buildings.

I might get it out again and take up residence in the kitchen with it for a bit.

Cocolapew · 01/05/2020 21:55

I love the flower one 💐

Fi3ldTrip · 01/05/2020 21:59

We have a jigsaw library in our village. It's amazing. We are all doing jigsaws (with suitable precautions).

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 01/05/2020 22:12

No, stay in more, do more jigsaws, Fi3ldtrip.

Some lovely ones on this thread. Nearly at the end of my current one. Am eyeing up a couple of Colin Thompson ones.

toomuchlikemyusername · 01/05/2020 22:20

@UnderLockdown
Snap! We've just done that one too!

I love jigsaws. I am using lockdown to work through a stash of them but I worried that I will soon run out.

I get mine from charity shops, then pass them on to my parents, who then pass them on until they eventually end up back in a charity shop. Plus I supplement with an occasional new one for a birthday or Christmas treat.

PersonaNonGarter · 01/05/2020 23:13

@Fi3ldTrip oooh those are lovely. Can you tell us who made the House and the Stamps ones?

Pootle40 · 01/05/2020 23:15

My favourite jigsaws are the house of puzzles ones.

SkippyDies · 01/05/2020 23:25

Finished my Lord if the Rings puzzle a few days ago.

This is what we're doing. It's double-sided to add to the difficulty.

EngagedAgain · 01/05/2020 23:45

@Wacado
Goodness, surely that's near damn impossible! I'm not sure I've ever done a jigsaw puzzle, maybe once years and years ago. Came on thread to look at them. Might be tempted. How many of you usually do them and had them already? If not presume you buy online at the moment.

EngagedAgain · 01/05/2020 23:47

@Wacadu, sorry getting tired!

YesThisIsMe · 01/05/2020 23:53

I did this one in a single stint yesterday. I get properly hooked on jigsaws sometimes while listening to podcasts.
Just finished Veronese’s Wedding at Cana which was lovely but tricky.
Fi3ldTrip’s look like Ravensbergers to me.

I love a good jigsaw - they are so good for reducing stress. The only problem is becoming knowing when to stop and not getting obsessed with fitting one more piece before going to bed. I usually rely on charity shops but am managing with swopping jigsaws with neighbours at the moment.

TwoDrifters2 · 02/05/2020 00:03

Can anyone please recommend a good method for storing away jigsaws in progress? I don’t have the space to keep them out, plus little hands would just grab at and ruin them anyway. Is the porta puzzle case thing any good? Or is there another better method I should know about? Thanks!

Cocolapew · 02/05/2020 00:24

@EngagedAgain I've never done one before, didn't think i had the patience. My DD got me one just before lockdown, she works in a toyshop and it was a thousand piece Disney Princesses one Hmm.
I got the space one from Amazon but it took weeks to arrive.
I like to sit and do it while listening to Magic Soul on the radio.
