@DobbyTheHouseElk

There are some on Ebay I just looked

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/04/2020 20:57

Thanks.

tapdancingmum · 30/04/2020 22:10

@DobbytheHouseElk I got it from www.jigsawpuzzlesdirect.co.uk Was the only place I found one that I hadn't done and at a reasonable price.

tapdancingmum · 30/04/2020 22:14

@DobbytheHouseElk have just looked and they don't have any but these people do www.jigsawsuk.co.uk/products/shop-by-theme/artists/mike-jupp/?filter_pieces=1000-pieces

Might need to buy some more Grin

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/04/2020 22:22

@tapdancingmum all out of stock. Haven’t found a new mike jupp for ages.

I truly love a jigsaw puzzle but I really don’t believe in looking at the picture whilst you do it. Feels like cheating to me. My husband thinks I puzzle wrong but I just don’t think it’s much of a puzzle if you’re looking to see where the pieces go?!

Just finished my last puzzle though - butterflies. There was a piece missing but by the time I realised that I already felt like I’d won.......

.....maybe I am puzzling incorrectly if I think completing a puzzle is ‘winning’ Confused

Mumski45 · 30/04/2020 22:49

2000 pieces. This one tested my piece sorting skills and took 2 late nights to complete. Frustratingly a piece missing and I hate that-messes with my sense of order and completeness.

My people!

I have 2 on the go most of the time, one I am doing and one DD is helping with. Currently working on a Wasgij, and this is the latest joint effort. We've done the 1980s sweets one as well!

Bloodylovecheese · 30/04/2020 23:49

Brigante9 · 01/05/2020 00:33

I’m of the star at the pieces and you will be inspired. Not helping my current very tricky horses 🐎 jigsaw.4 horses done, 15 to go!

I started doing jigsaws last year. I find them really calming and have done lots recently. Wish I'd taken pictures now as I'd love to join in!

I keep buying the Gibson ones and yes at £15-£20 a pop they're turning into an expensive habit.

After a few glasses of wine a few weekends ago I drunk bought 5 on eBay GrinGrin

One of the was from the queens jubilee - a mixture of different photos over the years and that was fun! The others are nice scenes.

I've done them all now so bought 3 more yesterday! One called Piccadilly, one called London calling and one called 'morning catch' which is a scene from a fishing village.

I've managed to convert one of my friends to doing them so she's doing them after me (after a weeks quarantine in the garage) but after all this I'd definitely be up for a puzzle swap @RedRed9 as I've got loads and it's getting pricey Grin

Impatientwino · 01/05/2020 07:30

DH keeps 'helping' with them at the moment, particularly towards the end of them (glory hunter!) and I've warned him off with the threat of a Chinese burn next time he puts a piece in Grin

Impatientwino · 01/05/2020 07:50

Ooh I did take one of the jubilee one when it was nearly done! Smile

Wow, all those jigsaws look beautiful.

We've got into our jigsaws in lockdown, particularly my dd, 13.

Can I ask you all where you find yours? Any brilliant websites you'd recommend? Thanks!

Shoxfordian · 01/05/2020 08:29

We get all our jigsaws from a charity shop and then donate them back once we've done them

Chrysanthemum5 · 01/05/2020 08:35

I love jigsaws I swap them with my sister and then give them to the charity shop when we've both finished. This was my latest one

We're going to try a diamond painting next. Not sure how good they are but they seem a good alternative to jigsaws as I'm struggling to get hold of any decent ones.

Rassy · 01/05/2020 09:03

I love jigsaws too! Doing jigsaws has helped me through some difficult times. I like to listen to Radio 2 and do a jigsaw at the same time - v calming. I particularly like 'bygone' scenes.

@Girliefriendlikespuppies I have that beach scene jigsaw!

oneboy3girls · 01/05/2020 10:03

My library lends them out

Viviennemary · 01/05/2020 10:13

I've been doing a few jigsaws. There's a YouTube channel I just discovered Karen's jigsaws. Can't do links on this. Found out about Cloudberries jigsaws. They are a bit dearer than the usual brands but worth it I think.

Viviennemary · 01/05/2020 20:25

Bumping this thread. Anyone else doing jigsaws. I liked the Gibson's sweet Memories ones.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/05/2020 20:34

I love jigsaws, I have gone back to work now so I can get them out again
