I didn't realise she was due already. Baby boy born this morning!

This thread is the very worst of Mumsnet.

LastTrainEast · 29/04/2020 10:52

Humina "Probably 40 000 people plus have lost their lives due to incompetent governance" Oh you thought having a pandemic was a choice made by the PM? No wonder you are sad and bitter.

ThisGunsForHire · 29/04/2020 10:52

Nasty brigade out again this morning 🙄

Helmetbymidnight · 29/04/2020 10:52

Perhaps people would rather he hadn’t survived given who his father is eh? I mean, if you are that bitter about someone having a baby then surely it follows that you wish that baby had never existed?

That is quite a stretch.

TSSDNCOP · 29/04/2020 10:52

Poor Carrie, her pregnancy has been pretty shitty, her little boy is a couple of hours old and ransoms are shrieking that her partner isn't entitled to paternity leave despite no clue of their intentions. Strewth!

Shockers · 29/04/2020 10:52

@1forsorrow- heartbreaking Sad.

1forsorrow · 29/04/2020 10:52

Even if this is the case, (which there is no evidence for) he is still only a few weeks on from being in ICU. One of my relatives was in hospital for about 8 weeks after leaving ICU. Admittedly they were retired but it took several months for them to be fully active in "normal life" If he isn't well enough to be doing his job he shouldn't be doing it. He should hand over to Raab, not the way it has been for the last couple of weeks but actually let Raab make decisions and get on with it. Regardless of it being Boris, regardless if you love him or hate him the country needs some leadership and we have seen precious little so far. This isn't a game, it doesn't matter if Boris doesn't want to get left it, this is about the country and everyone in it. So let him take paternity leave, sick leave or retire but let someone run the country.

AmIAStone · 29/04/2020 10:52

No matter what I think of him, the government and how they’ve handled this, I genuinely wish her well in this scary time, especially if they have a premie.

Although they are allowed to just state “a London hospital”, and have their privacy, but everyone expected Megan to live tweet when she started labour and announce her doctor her hospital etc. Of course Megan was entitled they same privacy.

LastTrainEast · 29/04/2020 10:55

I have no idea if Boris Johnson is a good man or not. I am very cynical about politicians in general, but one thing that cheers me up is that most people can just be pleased for a couple that had a baby.

I wish them well.

Alsohuman · 29/04/2020 10:55

feel sorry for carrie she's a young woman and had to shag that fat middle old liar while he was married to a woman with a cancer and has all these other children he wont admit to. it cant be easy

Yeah, because someone held a gun to her head, didn’t they? She chose this. They’ll be up to their knees in maternity nurses and nannies so absolutely no need for paternity leave.

LockedInMadness · 29/04/2020 10:55

This thread is the very worst of Mumsnet.

I know it's absolutely atrocious, no wonder they are leaving in droves.

PinkfluffySlippers63 · 29/04/2020 10:56

A baby is always good news. Has he got divorced yet ? I guess this means he'll be on paternity leave for a few weeks. Hmmm

1forsorrow · 29/04/2020 10:56

@Shockers - so many tragic stories. Boris survived, they have money so can buy help, apparently mother and baby and doing well so yes I will save my sympathy for others.

Fallsballs · 29/04/2020 10:57

Well off you trot then.
It’s a chat forum btw

Youngatheart00 · 29/04/2020 10:57

Boris is entirely entitled to paternity leave. However I don’t expect he’ll be entirely absent from politics. Yes - Boris has other children but this is Carrie’s first baby and his support as partner and dad shouldn’t be removed from her. People are cruel at times.

Sparklingbrook · 29/04/2020 10:58

There’s ‘chat’ and then there’s this.

MarieQueenofScots · 29/04/2020 10:58

I hope she and the baby are well.

If I were her I would be sorting out the birth certificate with his name firmly on sharpish.

Iwalkinmyclothing · 29/04/2020 10:59

@Notonthestairs

Earlier in the thread, I posted

"I can't believe on this site of all sites we have people thinking he shouldn't take paternity leave "

A little while later, you make a post which starts with

"I can't believe anyone on this site of all sites can be thrilled for Boris"

I'm sure you can see why I would respond to that bit of your post and not the rest. And if you can't, uh, so what? I doubt anyone else on here cares about either of our posts in this thread and I've run out of interest in this now.

Fallsballs · 29/04/2020 10:59

That is entirely your opinion sparkling.

Helmetbymidnight · 29/04/2020 11:00

What is annoying people so much about this thread?

EricaNernie · 29/04/2020 11:01

wish them all good health

Sparklingbrook · 29/04/2020 11:01

Correct @Fallsballs.

Fallsballs · 29/04/2020 11:02

I know, I don’t get it either, unless they’re Boris Bots.

Missillusioned · 29/04/2020 11:02

I doubt Boris is a very hands on dad. That baby won't disturb his sleep at all

x2boys · 29/04/2020 11:02

God there really are aome nasty fuckers on this thread 🙄
