I’m watching Cats (2019) 😧 and would like more of this sort of horror please!

I keep hearing rumours about the bum hole version. They edited out the cat bum holes. I want to see the bum hole version.

I was always surprised at Roald Dahl’s, Witches film was a PG.

It used to scare the shit out of me as a kid!

PepperMooMoo · 18/04/2020 22:01

The Witches.... What the fuck?

Witchend · 18/04/2020 22:38

Return to Oz is the one that really is scary for a PG. But my cousin loved it aged about 6yo, so maybe not too bad.

What I was surprised when I went to buy ds some A-team ones, that the DVD was now a 15. It was Saturday night viewing for us-and I was very sensitive to screen violence, but never had a problem with that. Shock

I came here to say Witches too! To this day the scene with the bottle forced down the child's throat brings horrific memories! It invokes a weird taste I imagined back then! I let my eldest watch it a couple years ago and sure enough he asked to stop watching it which he's never done before (or since) so hasn't lessened in intensity in age!

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 18/04/2020 22:59

Happy Feet. I couldn’t look at a penguin for a long time.

Fuckingfuckssake · 18/04/2020 23:01

Poltergeist is a PG!!!!!

Clawdy · 18/04/2020 23:02

The Cat In The Hat - full of double entendres ! That bit where he grabs a hoe in the garden and says " You dirty hoe! Oh, sorry, baby, I love you......"

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 23:02

Oh the Witches! Also hoot with the pirate locked in a chest to be consumed by giant insects left me somewhat scarred.

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 23:02

Hook

TokyoSushi · 18/04/2020 23:03

I also came here to say The Witches!!

StylishMummy · 18/04/2020 23:05

The Black Cauldron scared the living daylights out of me as a kid

GetawayfromthatWelshtart · 18/04/2020 23:06

Are you looking to be traumatized?

Watership Down the 1978 version... was a "U"....

Also When the Wind Blows.... "PG"...

I still can't watch them as a bloody grown up gets flash backs and goes to hide under the duvet

GetawayfromthatWelshtart · 18/04/2020 23:10

oh and The Black Hole!

Humans turned into mindless part human/ part robots...Anthony Perkins gets kebabed whilst trying to protect himself with a book... weirdest bloody ending ever!!

Ahh those were the days when Disney made some weird shit.

tutorwho · 18/04/2020 23:15

I agree with the Witches! If you were looking at weird and horrible kids tv programmes, Round the Twist is one lol.

User721 · 18/04/2020 23:17

Theres a weird scene in one of the Beethoven films where the teenage daughter nearly gets raped and only gets saved by Beethoven the dog. Nothing graphic but its clear what's going on, its very creepy for a kids film.

RedMoonRising · 18/04/2020 23:18

Fantastic Mr Fox also terrible

aWeaponCalledtheWord · 18/04/2020 23:23

@GetawayfromthatWelshtart i was 5 in 1978.

mother took me to see Watership Down at the pictures for a ‘treat’. i don’t remember much, but i do remember the bit with all the rabbit silhouettes flying round and Bright Eyes playing.

mother leaned in and said THEY’RE ALL DEAD, YOU KNOW.

i had nightmares for years.

weirdly, she also took me to see The Black Hole.

Frasa · 18/04/2020 23:26

Darby O Gill and The Little People. Terrifying - and not just for the bad accents! The scene with the banshee and the death coach terrified me. Certified U!

Mrsfrumble · 18/04/2020 23:26

tutorwho Round the Twist has recently popped up in Netflix. DH thought it would be funny to show the haunted toilet episode to our children and they loved it! I’ve had to sit through the whole first series this lockdown because they’re now obsessed Confused

Wasn’t Jaws a U or PG when it was first released?

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 23:30

Frasa I only have to start singing ‘my dear, my dear l, my darling one’ to shit up my Irish dh! His Mum used the banshee leavens to make him and all his siblings fall in line at bedtime!

Flixsfoilball · 18/04/2020 23:33

The Dark Crystal 😱

oohnicevase · 18/04/2020 23:35

Where is Cats on? I'd love to see if it's as bad as people say .!

Lyricallie · 18/04/2020 23:36

Not sure if it's a PG but I used to be terrified of Labyrinth.

Nomorewineever · 18/04/2020 23:37

The original jaws.
