Do you think that This Morning is aimed more at the middle classes or the working classes?
I personally think that it is aimed towards the middle classes.

Haven’t watched it since I was at school a very long time ago! So can’t say but I do think that working class are more likely to watch tv during the day.

OhCaptain · 18/04/2020 20:11

Massive generalisation but at a guess I’d say working class watch more morning/daytime tv.

Janaih · 18/04/2020 20:11

The working classes are at work during the day surely?

OhCaptain · 18/04/2020 20:11

Why do you think it’s aimed at middle class?

CayrolBaaaskin · 18/04/2020 20:14

Working class. Many of the ads are obv aimed at working class

Year6teacher754 · 18/04/2020 20:14

@Janaih

Exactly what I thought, therefore it must be aimed at the middle classes.

@OhCaptain
Because the working classes will be at work when it is on.

I don’t have a scooby who it’s aimed at, it’s a pile of wank.

DartmoorChef · 18/04/2020 20:17

More like the non working class

PineappleDanish · 18/04/2020 20:19

Working classes. ITV has always been more "downmarket" in general than BBC. ITV daytime output - loose women, this morning celeb gossip, judge rinder. BBC's is antiques and property.

VivaLeBeaver · 18/04/2020 20:22

It’s aimed at students, the unemployed and bored housewives?

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 18/04/2020 20:22

No idea about class and I don't turn the TV on until late afternoon, but I have seen snippets and it seems to me it's aimed at the hard of thinking.

IHateCoronavirus · 18/04/2020 20:23

I’d say unemployed/those on benefits/students doing light courses. Most other people would be working when it is on unless they are doing shift work.

Wolfiefan · 18/04/2020 20:24

It’s aimed at those who watched Jeremy Kyle. Those who completely lack class, decorum or indeed brain cells.

Casino218 · 18/04/2020 20:29

Middle class people work too! This thread is pointless.

Heatherjayne1972 · 18/04/2020 20:32

Honestly. Does it matter?

Crinkle77 · 18/04/2020 20:37

I've not really thought about it but I would guess it's aimed at stay at home mums.

ADreamOfGood · 18/04/2020 20:39

Why do you have two threads?
I'd like to know what type of content This Morning does that you think is middle class?

OhTheRoses · 18/04/2020 20:44

It's aimed at whoever has time to sit on their backside before starting their day.

MissMarks · 18/04/2020 20:45

The less educated.

yesterdayschild · 18/04/2020 20:56

How very Victorian talking about "Class"

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 18/04/2020 21:19

What a stupid post

Rainbowb · 18/04/2020 21:22

It’s aimed at morons

catwithnohat · 18/04/2020 21:26

Daily Mail and Sun readers whoever/whatever they are!

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 18/04/2020 21:27

It's not really about class. I can't watch it. Drivel.
