What discontinued food from years ago do you still miss?

What foods that aren’t made anymore do you miss most?
Mine are Sayer’s Devon Whip, Burtons potato puffs and the vinegar and onion wheel crisps that kwik save used to sell. I can’t remember the name but they were in a blue bag with a squirrel on the front. I would stockpile them without a bit of shame!

@JanMeyer

Definitely a thing. They were amazing.

I have never had turkey twizzlers. - I feel like I had a deprived childhood.

I remember crispy pancakes, but we hardly had them. 😭

Toast toppers by Heinz! Does anyone remember them? They were Devine. The chicken and mushroom!

ohmysoul · 29/03/2020 09:04

Cadbury's astros! Loved them.

PrettyLittleLiar20 · 29/03/2020 09:04

Meanies crisps are still sold in R.O.I as are Balisto bars, remember those?

Bluesheep8 · 29/03/2020 09:14

Ah toast toppers, I loved those

renegadeoffunk · 29/03/2020 09:18

Forgot to add:

Heinz baked beans pizza

Mars Planets

TravellingSpoon · 29/03/2020 09:21

I have always been a veggie and when I was in my teens, birdseye used to make a thing that was a puff pastry square that was topped with quite a large dollop of cheesy garlic vegetable sauce. It was delicious and I loved them.

Stopped doing them after about 2 years, the bastards.

vampirethriller · 29/03/2020 09:21

Pyramint. I loved the TV ad too.
Worcester sauce Twiglets.

Bluesheep8 · 29/03/2020 09:23

Disco crisps, salt and vinegar flavour

vampirethriller · 29/03/2020 09:24

Romantica
Pistachio Muller corners, I ate hundreds of them whilst pregnant and they've vanished.

CaptainCallisto · 29/03/2020 09:25

Another vote for Toffos and Frufo yoghurts! Loved both of those.

I also miss Mingles chocolates.

The co-op used to do a range of 'criminally creamy' ice creams. There was a blueberry one with little soft balls of cinnamon shortbread in it, and a raspberry one with plain shortbread. I lived on those as a student!

NordSjoen · 29/03/2020 09:28

Creamola Foam (prob only a Scots / NI / North East England thing)

allformykids · 29/03/2020 09:28

Sulkypatsy · 29/03/2020 09:29

Frufoo yoghurts. Still dream about getting in as a treat at the store as a child

iamme21 · 29/03/2020 09:31

Walkers Sensations lamb and mint crisps 😢

morethanacondiment · 29/03/2020 09:37

Sara Lee chocolate gateau Cake

Pelleas · 29/03/2020 09:39

Phileas Fogg Mignons Morceaux

Agree with a pp that McCoy's mature cheddar was a million times nicer than the cheese and onion they do now.

Yeoman instant mashed potato - the best instant mash there ever was! The nearest you can get to it now is Sainsbury's own, but it's not as buttery as Yeoman.

Bluesheep8 · 29/03/2020 09:48

M and S jacket potato and butter flavour crisps

Bluesheep8 · 29/03/2020 09:49
