What discontinued food from years ago do you still miss?

What foods that aren’t made anymore do you miss most?
Mine are Sayer’s Devon Whip, Burtons potato puffs and the vinegar and onion wheel crisps that kwik save used to sell. I can’t remember the name but they were in a blue bag with a squirrel on the front. I would stockpile them without a bit of shame!

The McRib was a standard menu selection at McDonalds when I lived in Germany. Don't know if it still is. Not an occasional treat like here in the U.K. Angry

missmouse101 · 29/03/2020 02:20

Cream cheese flavour NikNaks.

Blondie1092 · 29/03/2020 02:20

Turkey Twizzlers for me as well. Ah, secondary school dinners. What I wouldn't give for a plate of Turkey Twizzlers, french fries and gravy. Sounds disgusting I know but nothing beats it. Especially now we're in self isolation and there's no fun food to be had.
Also these M&M chocolate bars I remember that came in a yellow packet, they were biscuit with a chocolate topping and M&Ms placed on top. My mother swears I made them up but they're real, I know it.

Fry’s Five Centres.

Heinz vegetable salad is a good one. It wasn't actually very nice, but it was a savoury snack you could eat from the tin with a teaspoon without having to cook or heat it.

I'd add Club biscuits that used to have a really thick layer of chocolate on them, and chocolate oranges that would break with a snap, not the soft sticky things made of palm oil that they sell today.

MashedSpud · 29/03/2020 03:11

Birds Eye Potato Fritters
Wheelz NibBits
Noodle Doodle spaghetti shapes

Bitsa Pizza crisps
Sayers vegetable pasties (90’s) made with some sort of brown flour.

From my childhood Mr Bones candy. Had a collection of coffins I’d use for my Lego characters!

I'll never stop missing pyramints. I think there was a bar version with more of a chocolate mint ganache type filling and an individual pyramid with a runny mint filling??

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 29/03/2020 07:47

@insertcaffeine I was going to say those yoghurts too and fuse bars but I didn’t know McDonald’s had stopped selling apple pies Shock devastated! While on the subject of McDonald’s I miss the old vegi burger. The new one is horrible and dry

Does anybody remember a confectionery item called 'Nutty? A glorious concoction of peanuts? Brown cellophane wrapper?

Whenever there's these threads no one mentions Nutty bars, so thank you MissGuernsey, as it was getting to the point where I thought I'd imagined them
