...because I didn't close it over the weekend.

Today's special is eggs.

Boiled, fried, poached, coddled, convent, I might even do scotch eggs.

Tea and coffee as always and toast of course.

No cinnamon just eggy bread :)

PawPawNoodle · 19/03/2020 04:11

@sashh I may well be if things keep going the way they are! I've left the job centre and wandered into your lovely and clean cafe (and beautifully decorated - where did you get those curtains).

@Thepigeonsarecoming come back! I went to the wrong place (I blame google maps). Come sit with me, I'm not infected (yet).

You know, I've never had eggy bread. What's it like?

sashh · 19/03/2020 04:19

< starts making more eggy bread for @Pol > How have you never had this wonder of breakfast cuisine?

Oh and this is a virtual cafe, you can only get virtual coronavirus here.

Yay sit virtually back down

PawPawNoodle · 19/03/2020 04:26

I was an egg-hater for maybe 25 of my 29 (nearly 30 😱) years because I couldn't stand the texture or smell of them. I'm slowly egg-dging (get it?) my way into the avine ovulatory world. I firmly do not like anything where the yolk and white haven't been thoroughly mixed though, and that makes me a bit sad!

I hope virtual coronavirus is more forgiving with its symptoms, perhaps it'll sign me up to receive a shit in a box via post.

crazycatlady7 · 19/03/2020 04:50

Ooo eggy bread a childhood classic!- yes please and a tea

How is everyone? Baby is going long stretches but still up a lot in the night- wanting lots of extra snuggles. Maybe he know what's going on out in the big world- we haven't needed to leave the house this week so his routine has been at home and not seeing anyone.

whatever45 · 19/03/2020 04:58

Table for a sleepy one? And marmalade please, marmalade is the answer to everything.

sashh · 19/03/2020 05:07

Marmalade and baby cuddles on the way.

@PolPotNoodle

My classic conversion to eggs is a souffle omelette.

Take two eggs, separate the yolks.

Whisk the whites until you get stiff peaks then fold the yolks through the whites so you have a big cloud of white with buts of yellow.

Fry some butter in a pan, put the cloud in and make it fit, cook for 3-4 mns, check the underside is cooked and then put under the grill for 2 mins to finish the cooking of the top.

Eat.

You can, of course, add cheese and vegetables / meat of choice.

On a night shift. In need of energy. What could you offer me?

sashh · 19/03/2020 05:10

bits of yellow, yellow butts is not something I want to eat.

sashh · 19/03/2020 05:17

@Mumof1andacat

How about an espresso with sugar for an immediate lift and a banana on granary toast to keep you going? I bit of porridge too for the slow release carbs.

Been breastfeeding dc for hours, she still won't sleep.
Could I have a porridge with lots of golden syrup please

whatever45 · 19/03/2020 05:22

Someone did tell me marmalade on porridge was a winner, not yet ventured there myself . I like your tablecloths.

UnexpectedItemInTheShaggingAre · 19/03/2020 05:24

Frownette · 19/03/2020 06:21

Morning. Tea and painkillers please.

sashh · 19/03/2020 06:25

@ProperVexed here have an entire pot, and a flask for later

@Frown I have tramadol, paracetamol, naproxen and co-codamol, just check with the virtual pharmacist because only the paracetamol is an OTC medication.

ProperVexed · 19/03/2020 06:30

whatever45 · 19/03/2020 06:32

Shinyfloors · 19/03/2020 06:33

Ooh a much needed cuppa tea pls, this thread has made me smile this morning thank you!
I'm a dab hand at sweeping and mopping floors (see username) when you lock up later.

Frownette · 19/03/2020 06:33

Paracetamol is fine thank you.

I just found coronavirus in one of the kitchen cupboards, I was looking for painkillers and opened a door and there was a small purple rubber ball with spikes like the scientists show us. Made me jump.
