How old were you when you lost your last grandparent?

I have no grandparents left, my last died when I was 27. Yet I know someone who is almost 30 and has all of her grandparents still living. Can't help but feel a little jealous.

I still have two grandparents but lost my Dad recently.

My grandma died at 101 when I was 48

My nan died when I was 23. Before that my grandad at 6 or 7. The other two died before I was born.

I still have both grandmas and I am 40. Both my grandads died before I was 25. However both my mum and dad have passed within the last 3 years.

I was 18. Never knew my dad’s dad, have one vague memory of mum’s dad who died when I was young. Dad’s mum died in her 80s when I was 9; Mum’s mum died when I was 18.

My partner’s grandparents on one side are both still alive and in good health. His grandma is only 70 and he’s 30! It’s lovely having that older presence back in my life but I am a bit jealous!

23. I miss them all so much. DH is very lucky, he's now 51 and still has both his grandmothers.

I’m 46 and have 1 grandparent left

I believe my dad’s mum is still alive, I’m 33 and she’s 89. However, we have been NC for most of my life. My parents divorced when I was 8 and she cut me and my brother off because my mother got custody of us. I’ve only seen her once as an adult, at my dads funeral. She’s a nasty piece of work. Her ex husband, my grandad, died before I was born.

My mums parents were wonderful grandparents, my grandad died when I was 16, and my Nan when I was 26. Miss them both terribly.

34. The others were all dead by the time I was 20. My DCs are 21, 16, 13 and had all four grandparents until 2 weeks ago.

33. I had all four until I was 27.

My dgm died two years ago aged 102.

I am 48. Granny died 4 years ago and grampa 11. Dads side gran died when I was a month old and grampa when I was 10. Lost aunt at 5am this morning. I was with her.

I'm 37 still have a Grandad.
My other grandad died before I was born I lost my Granny's at 20 and 32.
I had a great granny until I was 17. She was my Dad's granny he was 45 when she died

I was 6.
Lost mum at 14, dad and husband at 44.

I was 32 when my last grandparent died - my beloved grandma who was 92 years old. She missed becoming a great-grandma by just 19 months. I still miss her and my grandad. My other GPs were a bit more distant, so I wasn't as close to them, but I adored my DM's parents. I realise how lucky I am though to have had her for so long.

I was 40 when I lost my last one.

First at 9, second at 12, third at 16.

I'm 51 and have a surviving grandparent. She's 100. My paternal grandparents died when I was little and my maternal grandfather died about 15 years ago.

I was 38 when my last grandparent died age 100. The others had died when I was 20 (2 of them) and 28.

My son who is 6 only has one blood grandparent left. His grandads both died before he was born and one of his grandmas died when he was just 5.

There is only my Mum and step dad left.

25, she was the only grandparent I ever met (two died before i was born, one chose never to visit). I did however have 2 wonderful great aunts who were part of my daily life and a great great aunt.

My DC had 5 grandparents (including one step parent) when they were born but I will count myself lucky if they have any in their teens.

I lost 3 when I was a baby or toddler and have absolutely no memory of any of them. The 4th died when I was in my 40s.

Both grandfathers died before I was born, I lost my mums mum when I was 27 and I’m now 43 and my dad’s mum (who has outlived all her children) is 96 however she is very frail.

41, my last grandparent died 2 months ago.

27 when my last grandparent passed away. I found out I was pregnant with DS a week after she died and I wish she'd been able to meet him.

DH still has his maternal grandfather at 32. He's mid 80's and will outlive the lot of us.

I was 21 when I lost my last grandparent, my grandad who was 94 when he died. My parents are considered older parents though having me at 36 and 38.
