Oh yes and Isolde.
Dh was so bloody boring about names.

There were a lot of names I would have loved to use.
Sebastian
Jocelyn
Jago
Hector

Hamish
To name but a few

Edie
Isabel
Imogen
Ella
Persephone
Beatrice

I had boys!

Isaac and Joseph were a hard no from DH (my choices for each of them). I still absolutely love them.
He would put Jack on this list. That was a hard no from me both times.

If we had more boys (we're done)...

Christopher (Kit)
Luke
Seth
Oscar

Dogsaresomucheasier · 05/03/2020 20:10

I love Gertrude, (Trudy,) but was talked out of it. Dd is very grateful but I love it!

Bouncingbelle · 05/03/2020 20:15

Joseph

Saoirse ... tho a boy mum here so not sure the DS' would appreciate it!

Marlena1 · 05/03/2020 20:16

Amber - I used Sophie (which I love and have from before was popular) but gets such a bad rap on here for being overused and I feel guilty.

sooveritalready · 05/03/2020 20:18

Iris
Penelope
Lizzie
Lottie
Lucy

Jos - didn't have a DS but may have managed to swing this as a Joseph
Jory
Kit
Gabe

WouldShouldCould · 05/03/2020 20:21

Saoirse, by far the most beautiful girls name I've ever heard.

MitziK · 05/03/2020 20:24

I'd have kept up my nature names.

Elowen
Blythe
I could quite easily have had a Robin and a Wren were it not for the fucking arsehole I was with at the time who put me off having more children and would have crowbarred in my grandmother's and my granddad's baby sister's names - Phyllis and Violette - somehow. Maybe an Eleanor Arwen.

Boys could have been Robin, Branek, Edmund and Kit (Christopher), depending upon how much they resembled various uncles in colouring.

ChikiTIKI · 05/03/2020 20:29

Anita
Josiah

Blackcountryexile · 05/03/2020 20:30

I love Scarlett but back in the 1990s it felt to me like a name that would take some carrying off so I didn't risk it for my DD.. She would have done and of course almost 30 years on it isn't an out there name at all. In the 1970s I remember coming across a young woman called Poppy which seemed like a very exotic name!

MinnieMountain · 05/03/2020 20:35

Alexandra Minerva (as in first and second names).

I had an Edmund.

Astridd · 05/03/2020 20:35

OP apart from one name your girls list was mine over my two dd's. I love Erica, wish I'd used that or Violet.

However, I have an Astrid so thanks for the love! I've had 3 rl people be very gushing about her name, one time was actually quite embarrassing (I obviously like it but it wasn't my first choice).

Hovverry · 05/03/2020 20:38

Several mentions of Saoirse. However do you pronounce it? I’d never give a child a name which nobody can pronounce or spell. I can’t even guess at Irish names, maybe it’s pronounced Mary.

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 05/03/2020 20:38

Carlotta (didn't go with surname)
Mary (husband said no)
Robert (never had a boy)
Edmund (ditto)

zukiecat · 05/03/2020 20:40

I love my DDs names, but for imaginary daughters 3, 4 and 5 I'd love Storm, Raven and Willow

MrsSchadenfreude · 05/03/2020 20:43

Ekaterina
Yael
