What's the heaviest/lightest you have been as an adult, what are you now...

and at what point would you say that generally you were happiest with life in general?
I'll go first. I was lightest in my late twenties at 9st 4lb, I'd split up with a boyfriend and had then been ill with a vomiting bug, I was miserable. I was heaviest after the birth of my third child, 13 st 6lb. Funnily enough I can't remember feeling bothered by that (too busy keeping other humans alive!). It's taken over 4 years but I am now at 11 st. I suppose what I'm realising is is that although I think I'd like to be 9st something again, it doesn't really equate to personal happiness does it? and cakes can bring great joy...

I’m 5’6”. In my 20 s I was about 9 st. I’ve gone up to 10,11,12 st. I’m now 13 stone and cannot shift anything. I excercise, diet but its no use, I’m post menopausal and I’m just going to have to learn to embrace my curves 🙄

ILikeyourHairyHands · 14/02/2020 18:30

I'm 5' 8, was 7st 11ish until my mid 20's, no eating disorder, just quite skinny. I didn't look super-skinny as I an broad shouldered, I did have a 23 inch waist though! Went up to about 8.5 stone until I had my DC then was about 9.5 stone until peri-menopause hit and I've gone up to about 10.5 stone, still slim but definitely carrying more weight than I'd like, around 9st 10 would be my ideal weight now.

I've always been pretty happy, usual life ups and downs, my mental state had never manifested itself in my weight.

collywobblescar · 14/02/2020 18:33

MoonlightMistletoe · 14/02/2020 19:18

I'm 5ft2 - lightest 6stone after my first daughter, postnatal depression and psychosis which led to an eating disorder. That was the unhappiest I've been with my weight. Heaviest 9stone through my second and third pregnancies also happiest with my weight.
I am now 8stone and trying to get to 9-9 and a half stone :)

Bingeslayer · 14/02/2020 19:31

I'm a lot bigger than any of you, first time I ever went on diet was aged 20,was 14.5 stone, got down to smallest of 10 stone 8 within a year.Gradually came back on,tooting for years.
Was down to 11st 2 again when found out I was pregnant with dd1 at 29,stopped looking when tipped the scales at 15.5.
Was already 15st when caught for dd2 at 36,went up to 18.3.
Got down to 13.2 in 2016.
Been really bad since with depression and anxiety so comfort eating out of control, before Christmas I was 17 12,been afraid to look since but know I've put on so pep at my highest ever 😞

ButterflyBitch · 14/02/2020 19:46

Heaviest was a few years ago 10 stone 11lb
Now I’m 9 stone 4lb which I’m happy with though could do with toning up

brightbluesky · 14/02/2020 19:58

I'm five foot eight.

I went down to 8.12 by massively restricting my food and particularly carbs as a teenager.

I was a chubby teenager and my mum who herself is obese was horrible to me about my weight growing up which had led to a life long obsession.

I had bulimia whilst at uni.

I don't weight myself anymore, a conscious choice, but I think I'm around eleven stone as I only stopped weighing last year and my clothes from my weigh in days still feel the same.

I feel good now, I do three spin classes a week and swim when I get a chance. I've also come to realise my self worth is more than a number on the scales :)

BoccaBaciata · 15/02/2020 09:24

Just under 7st when I was anorexic. 19 stone at my heaviest. I don't weigh anymore, haven't for years, but I'm guessing I'm about 12st and size 16 and have been for a long time. I know I'm a bit overweight but I'm healthy, it's easy to maintain this weight and as soon as I start restricting the EDs come roaring back, so I don't. That's also why I don't have scales in the house.

JigsawsAreInPieces · 15/02/2020 09:44

I've been 9st 4lbs and 14 st 4lbs.
Happiest when I was 10st 10lbs. I'm on medication for the rest of my life of which side effects are weight gain so because I can't stop the medication, any weight loss is incredibly slow to go and quick to return.

BearSoFair · 15/02/2020 11:53

I'm 5'5. Lightest 8st exactly, when I first started suffering with IBS and pretty much only ate plain rice, boiled potatoes, fish, and chicken for a month. Heaviest 10st 11. Currently 9st 4. I've never really linked my weight with my happiness so I'm not sure how much I weighed at my happiest! I'm fairly content now though.

ringletsandtwiglets · 15/02/2020 12:06

I've been a fat girl since I was about 12. Looking back now, I'm wondering if it was triggered by an attempted abduction as I was coming home from school aged 11. Possibly comfort eating, or an unconscious attempt at making myself harder to lift off the ground!

Up until I went to Uni at 18, my weight pretty much matched my age. 6 months ago, I got really ill and it was a wake-up call to start looking after myself.

Heaviest: I think around 21 stone. I'm 5'8, and carry weight on my stomach.

Currently: 18 stone and losing a few pounds a week. This is the lightest I've been since my teens and I'm aiming to be out of the obese BMI as a first goal, and then into the healthy range long term.

managedmis · 15/02/2020 12:19

@CaptainBrickbeard saw 18 stone on the scales at the start of January this year and I don’t want diabetes, I don’t want to be unfit.

I’m 15st 13 today

^^

You've lost all that since January! That's two stone! Congrats Flowers

fussychica · 15/02/2020 13:42

5'4" Around 50kgs until my mid 20s then slowly crept up to 58kgs just before I became pregnant at 35. Didn't put on that much in pregnancy. Back to low 60s straight away and stayed there until menopause when drifted slowly up to 66kgs. Now back to 61 - 63kgs at 63. Look best at 60kgs but it's a struggle to maintain.

MissCalamity · 15/02/2020 13:42

I'm 5ft 9, and 40 years old and currently the heaviest I've ever been (even when I was 40 weeks pregnant) I'm tipping the scales at about 16 stone. Sad

The lightest I ever was, was about 12 and a half stone when i was 23, I was working abroad so wasn't eating loads of food & doing lots of walking & swimming.

I'm ok when it comes to exercise, but I really do need to take better care of what I eat, really do need a bit of a kick up the arse on this area.

PleaseStopRingingMe · 15/02/2020 14:00

Heaviest 17st 10 after DC1. I put on 4 stone during my pregnancy and I felt disgusting for quite a while before I decided to do anything about it. (Managed to get down to get down to 13st 11 for my wedding)

Am now pregnant with DC2 and am 15st 4.

Lightest was about 10st after I broke up with my BF and got really ill with swine flu. Kept it off for quite a while but I still felt "fat". Looking back now I was actually quite slim and wish I still looked like that.

IceniSky · 15/02/2020 14:09

4'10 and hourglass.

Mid 20s 6 stone 10.
Heaviest a year ago at 41, 8 stone 2.
Happy now aged 42, at 7 stone 2.

mamaduckbone · 15/02/2020 14:12

Lightest, about 9 1/2 stone
Heaviest 11 st 2
Currently 10 st 6 and would like to get down to under 10 st again, which I was about 18months ago after dieting but it's slowly been creeping back up.

Redcrayons · 15/02/2020 14:18

Heaviest 5 years ago 12 and half stone.

Lightest since then is bang on 10 stone. I find this too hard to maintain so my ideal weight is around 5lbs heavier. I’m currently about 10lbs over my ‘ideal’ but still within healthy range.

My lightest was probably in my twenties, I didn’t weigh myself then. I’d estimate around 9 stone.

DMCWelshcakes · 15/02/2020 14:46

At my lightest I was 5 foot 4 and 7st 7lbs. I was 20 and seriously ill.

At my heaviest i was 5 foot 3 and 13 stone 4lbs. That was January 2019.

In between children I was 5 feet 3.5 and 9 stones.

I look best at 9 stone so I'm on a mission to get back there again. Two and a half stones down, 1 stone 11lbs to go! I've got a very small frame so really don't carry extra weight well. I do have one hell of a cleavage though so I'm not convinced I'll ever be a size 10 on top! Grin

mrsbyers · 15/02/2020 15:53

23-5
11-0

Now 16 and need to diet - about 13 is right for me

Shinygreenelephant · 15/02/2020 17:00

I'm 5'6. Lightest was around 8 stone when I was 20 and partying non stop. I was happy but not at all healthy. Heaviest was 11.5 stone after baby no.3, I was very happy then as well. I'm about 9.5 stone now, size 8-10, eat mostly well, go the gym when I can, don't really drink. I am very active though with chasing kids around, lots of walking, cleaning the house etc. Will find it much harder when I'm back in work

Hellokittymania · 15/02/2020 17:53

The most I’ve been was 93 pounds, the latest I think was around 70. I am around 90 pounds now…
