What's the heaviest/lightest you have been as an adult, what are you now...

and at what point would you say that generally you were happiest with life in general?
I'll go first. I was lightest in my late twenties at 9st 4lb, I'd split up with a boyfriend and had then been ill with a vomiting bug, I was miserable. I was heaviest after the birth of my third child, 13 st 6lb. Funnily enough I can't remember feeling bothered by that (too busy keeping other humans alive!). It's taken over 4 years but I am now at 11 st. I suppose what I'm realising is is that although I think I'd like to be 9st something again, it doesn't really equate to personal happiness does it? and cakes can bring great joy...

I'm 5'7. lowest was around 8 stone when I was having issues around food in my mid twenties. Now I'm happy at 9 but still secretly like it when I lose a bit now and again and recognise the addictive side to that.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 13/02/2020 19:57

Lightest 9 stone but I found that incredibly hard to maintain. Heaviest around 13 stone 7 pounds. Currently at 10 and a half.

I'm 5'8

PrincessHoneysuckle · 13/02/2020 19:57

Lightest- around 9 stone whilst going through marriage break up.I looked great but it's not sustainable now.

Heaviest - 13.5 stone after the birth of ds.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 13/02/2020 19:57

I'm 11 stone now

TheWordmeister · 13/02/2020 19:57

5' 7.5.

8 st 5 when I got married. 10 stone 5 at 9 months pregnant with 9.5lb baby. This was my heaviest weight.

Now, about 9 stone.

Shinyletsbebadguys · 13/02/2020 20:03

Lightest is now at 9 stone 4 and heaviest was last February (excluding whilst actually pregnant ...DS 1 bless him was a mahoosive baby and like a whippet now , not that we ever say it...we confirm he is a perfect size for a ds1) at 16 stone 10.

I'm 5ft 7 and like others I'm always amazed at how differently weight sits on people. I always remember a friend at 17 who said she was a size 14 and a lot heavier than me but looking at her she looked far far slimmer.

It's all a load of nonsense outside health though isn't it ? I lost weight when I realised I couldn't get up the stairs in my then town house in one go and at 39 that was just really bad news.

I'm now size 8/10 and the old adage is true....I do love being able to buy nice clothes, like the fact that I can charity shop as before i was too big for the sizes but ultimately my life is still there. The DC still worry me, i still worry about money and my career , i just do it slimmer that's all.

I'm glad the health issues have stopped and I feel more confidant about the future but I cant say my life is instantly happier after losing 7.5 (ish) stone

ReginaGeorgeous · 13/02/2020 20:25

I'm 5ft 3.

Lightest - I had glandular fever aged 19 and went down to 8 stone exactly. I looked too thin at this weight as although I am short, I don't have a small frame. Even at my skinniest I still needed a 32" band bra.

Heaviest - 12st 13lbs after the birth of DC2 last April. I felt absolutely disgusting.

Now - 10st 8lbs. I've lost a stone since new year, but right now I'm stuck in a plateau and it's driving me nuts. I desperately want the weather to warm up a bit so I can get a bit more active outside with my kids.

Ideal - about 9 stone. I'd like to get as close as I can to 9 stone before my holiday in July.

cheeseomelette · 13/02/2020 20:53

I'm 12 6 at the moment. Come down from 13 which is my highest.

Lowest was 9 10 pre dcs and I started to lose my curves at that weight.

I'm 5 7 and look best around 10-10.5 stone. Currently slowly losing the weight I think I've gained following a series of traumatic events. Aiming for 10 10 by early summer.

Chienloup · 13/02/2020 21:00

My lightest was 8st 12lb at 20ish. My heaviest is now 12st 2 aged 42, after 3 kids. Ideally I'd like to be 10 stone.

Crunchymum · 13/02/2020 21:03

7st 12lb at my adult lightest (late 20's)

Now I'm verging on double that weight. I can't solely 'blame' depression, illness and medication (emotional eating, arthritis / 6 months unable to walk and steroids) but I won't ignore those factors either.

I'm trying and hope to have a few stone gone by my summer birthday. I'll never be 7st 12lb again, but I'd be happy at a size 12/14 - eventually!!

KondoKonvert · 13/02/2020 21:09

Heaviest was 22st 3lb (28) and lightest was 13st 6lb (33). I'm now 39 and 13st 13lb. Actively trying to take a stone off!

I'm 5'11".

PeridotPassion · 13/02/2020 21:12

Lightest was 10 stone, early 20’s and size 8/10.
12 years and 3 babies later I hit my heaviest at 15 stone 12.5 lbs and size 18.

That was 4 weeks ago and I’m now 3.5 weeks into Slimming World and down to 14 stone 13 Grin

AMomHasNoName · 13/02/2020 21:18

I'm 5'11 ,after my second child I was about 13 1/2 stone. I dieted and got down to 10stone 3. Looking back now that was too low for me. At the minute ( and another 2 kids later :D) I'm 12stone 4. Currently healthy eating to loose abit of weight. Wanting to be about 11. But im generally active and muscular. Just seem to have a little pot belly lol x

Ghostonthedancefloor · 13/02/2020 22:07

17.5 stone has been my highest weight. Around a year - 18 months after the birth of my second child (I always gain more during breastfeeding than pregnancy) lightest was 2018 when I got down to 12.5 stone, I felt amazing.
Have now regained 3 stone but I’m trying my hardest to get into the mindset again.

Definitely happier, when I’m slimmer.

AudTheDeepMinded · 13/02/2020 22:37

Interesting stories and perspectives. I do find my weight tends to fluctuate the same direction at certain times of the year (which actually is logical given Christmas, cold temps etc equals gain whilst spring more active less stodge equals loss. I'm perimenopausal so it is definitely harder to lose weight, I used to be able to drop half a stone in a week no problem in my twenties!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 13/02/2020 22:44

Lightest weight is under 8 stone (I'm 5'4) which was throughout most of my 20s including after DS was born.

I started putting weight on 2 years ago, heaviest I have been was a month ago at 11stone 7. More than I weighed when I was full term pregnant. I'm naturally very boyish with narrow hips and small boobs, so the extra weight does not look good on me as it all goes on my stomach. I am trying properly now to lose weight and get back to about 8 and a half stone.

RUSU92 · 13/02/2020 22:49

I'm 5'3"

Heaviest 15 stone
Lightest 11 stone

Currently 15 stone Sad due to very sedentary lifestyle, poor food choices and thyroid issues. Plus probably perimeno so it seems to be going in the wrong direction!

Lucked · 13/02/2020 22:55

5’10
Lightest 9st 7 early twenties and burning the candle at both ends
Heaviest 14st after two kids and a bereavement.

Happiest 10st 3. Currently 12st but aiming for 11st.

OhWellThatsJustGreat · 13/02/2020 23:01

5ft 2
Lightest 8stone 9lbs, was properly training in gym with dh about 8 years ago, combination of cardio and weights, was toned, but looked a bit gaunt around the face.

Heaviest 11stone 7lbs, last year while pregnant.

I'm now 10 and a half, working towards getting back down to 9 stone, I seem to look my best around there, however over the past 5 years I tend to plateau at about 9stone 8lbs, and have really struggled to shift that last 8lbs, maybe that is my body's happy weight?

StillMedusa · 13/02/2020 23:07

8 stone 8 at lightest. 5 ft 7.
Went up to 10 stone last year...only realised as my jeans were tight, but figured it was because I'm over 50, then got a puppy, started walking and am now 8 stone 11. I've been around the 9 stone mark since I was 20 and am now 52. I've never dieted .

My body hasn't changed that much barring childbirth, but my face looks dreadful..needs more weight on it, but if I put on weight it goes to my butt not my face!

Ronnie27 · 13/02/2020 23:09

5”5, usually around 8.5 stone now closer to 9 and don’t feel great for it. Still fit but relaxed diet, clothes a bit tight etc. Heaviest was probably just over 10ish stone when I was pregnant.

megletthesecond · 13/02/2020 23:14

My lightest was seven and half stone. I'd come back from China with something that we never established and I wasn't right for weeks.
Heaviest was pregnant at 11 stone.
Fighting weight sits at 8st 3.

C33P0 · 13/02/2020 23:15

My lightest, that I remember, was 9 st when I got married at age 30. I recently got to my heaviest (pregnancy aside) which was 10 st 4, age 36. I decided that is too much and am changing my lifestyle, currently down to 9 st 12.

Poetryinaction · 13/02/2020 23:16

Other than when pregnant.
Heaviest 9st
Lightest 6.5st
At 6.5st I was a few months post birth and breastfeeding. I was blissfully happy and couldn't keep weight on.
9st a few times over the years. Getting close now. Overeating and underexercising. I would be happier more active but there is no time.

CalleighDoodle · 13/02/2020 23:19

My weight doesn't fluctuate much at all. In my 20’s and early 30’s i was always 8 stone 3. My heaviest weight was 11 stone at 40 weeks pregnant. Im now 8 Stone 8.
