The Robbing Butcher - Bemused by the Patio at FrogMhor Cottage

What next for the Robbing Butcher?

Will he wander past Mhor Cottage several times a day so that he can keep an eye on the progress of the patio?

Will Mr. Mhor's measurements turn out to be wrong? And will Mustress Mhor and her DH have too many SLABS as a result?

If they do, what will they do with them?

Will the eggs be dippy tomorrow?

Caroline Flack’s death was one of the main reasons to criticise the thread at the end, and possibly why MNHQ were quick to pull it. I think it would be best to avoided using ‘RIP’ right now lest posters complain it’s insensitive Smile

Let’s look on the bright side Wink

We have FrogMhor Cottage to retreat to, away from the limelight.

7Worfs · 16/02/2020 11:25

Btw ever since I bought a family calendar tasks just creep in!
My version allows for up to 6 to do items a day.

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 11:31

We have FrogMhor Cottage to retreat to

Yes.

And the patio is complete. I have to say that the jury's out at the moment. I would not tell Mr. Mhor this, but the patio isn't my favourite home improvement.

The shell chippings are not down yet though. Maybe I'll be happy once I see the finished product?

All the pots with their plants are outside the garden, too, so it looks bare.

The cats are bewildered.

Patios always look wrong when they're bare.... hang in there for finished image before casting judgement I would urge

Cuttingthegrass · 16/02/2020 11:38

DP cooked wonderful eggs this morning

We have FrogMhor Cottage to retreat to, away from the limelight.

Not for H & M talk. Unless we’re talking the shop. (Their sizing is ridiculous!)

There is a way of getting properly out of the limelight on MN if one wishes. Out if devilment, it’s tempting to try it to see what happens.

Hi all,

Just a quick note to say that if this turns into a TAAT, we will delete it. Best to stop mentioning the other thread now.

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 11:54

I wish I'd taken a picture of the egg I was served this morning.

You would all be so jealous.

7Worfs you need to get a bigger calendar.

What's the use of one which only gives you a possible six tasks a day?

Hmm
OP posts:
DivinationDandy · 16/02/2020 11:59

Ha ha exactly. Six tasks per day? Child’s play Wink

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 12:00

That'll be six for you, six for Mr. Worfs and six for the baby.

OP posts:
DivinationDandy · 16/02/2020 12:02

Delegate the baby’s to Mr Whorf. He’ll appreciate it.

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 12:27

Will Baby Worfs appreciate it, though?

BabyWhorfs is old enough to learn The Art of Delegation. If they already have Mrs & Whorf holding their spoon for them, then they may have learnt a thing or two already.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 16/02/2020 12:39

Those eggs look amazing cutting.

A bit like an astonished ghost.

A delicious astonished ghost.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 16/02/2020 12:39

Sorry didn't know about cf , as hadn't seen news and don't watch li .
My loft is finished! Very nice, weather rubbish,
But glad everyone's eggs are looking good!

DivinationDandy · 16/02/2020 12:40

Oops apologies I seem to be doing a Mhor and Worf hybrid and coming up with Whorfs.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 16/02/2020 12:41

Half term here, two bored kids and nasty weather, great !

DivinationDandy · 16/02/2020 12:42

It’s ok jeff, I was just pointing it out in case before any hypothetical people who hypothetically keep a hypothetical eye on this thread decided to in-hypothetically report.

7Worfs · 16/02/2020 12:43

But the calendar is only for Big Jobs (hehehe), like:

  • get quotes for the hedges (trimming needed)
  • choose internal doors and door handles (Consider knobs - beehive??)

I promise none of the above is innuendo, they are all real tasks for today. Grin

DivinationDandy · 16/02/2020 12:44

I should bloody hope ‘beehive’ isn’t an innuendo. Ouch.

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 12:49

Oh I see.

You don't put six tedious tasks on the calendar. So, "change towels in bathroom" and "stick new toilet roll on" do not make it to the Six Tasks Calendar, but things like "buy arsenic to murder NDN with" and "get better shovel to dispose of body" do.

Right.

OP posts:
TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 12:50

Consider knobs is something I would be interested in doing.

OP posts:
Cuttingthegrass · 16/02/2020 12:50

ilove can you hide in the lovely finished loft Grin

Schaden laughing at your description. Yes they were delicious 😋

Weather wise it’s raining but thankfully no fierce winds (yet). Need to do housework and then light the fire. Steak and ale for (made previously and defrosting) with roasted root veg and broccoli cauliflower cheese followed by chocolate watching DoI and Endeavour.

Positively thriving here.... am I allowed to put that?
