The Robbing Butcher - Bemused by the Patio at FrogMhor Cottage

TheMustressMhor · 08/02/2020 10:58

What next for the Robbing Butcher?

Will he wander past Mhor Cottage several times a day so that he can keep an eye on the progress of the patio?

Will Mr. Mhor's measurements turn out to be wrong? And will Mustress Mhor and her DH have too many SLABS as a result?

If they do, what will they do with them?

Will the eggs be dippy tomorrow?

Hi Sharkie, good to see you!

Well, Valentine’s dinner is in the dog. Literally.

DH cooked me a lovely steak, there was a sirloin and a fillet so he shared them half and half. He turned his back and the pup snarfed his fillet. Huge piece but she gulped it down as fast as she could while we chased her. DH really not amused. Dog suitably chastised but only after finishing the fillet.

7Worfs · 14/02/2020 21:30

How's the new job, Shark?

No Valentines dinner here, but I did get purple tulips which I love.

yolofish · 14/02/2020 21:33

"cabbages over the briney" - sorry, Monty Python moment there.

dandy BAD dog - but clever dog too.

Wind is really getting up here and the forecast for w/e dreadful. I might have to hoover... which I really should as dog hair levels high. Not going to wash the floors though, cannot see the point as dog/cats will immediately walk more mud in once I've done it.

yolofish · 15/02/2020 17:10

Weather so shit here that I have actually hoovered - downstairs and first flight of stairs. That's enough.

Tammie is BORED but she'll have to stay bored - no way am I going out in this.

Blowing an absolute hoolie and more to come.... stay safe all of you!

7Worfs · 15/02/2020 17:14

We haven’t left the house today. Am full of dinner, now enjoying a cup of coffee in the kitchen before we start bedtime.

yolofish · 15/02/2020 17:23

ah bedtime... the joys of small children! I

must admit I dont miss those days. I was watching a mum today folding up her pushchair to put it in the car - so much physical work! and all that crap you have to take with you everywhere... I enjoyed mine so much more when they got out of the toddler stage and even more from teens onwards (I know lots of people find teens hard work but it was easy for me, their friends are lovely, they are funny in between the door-slamming). And know they are both adults they are my absolute favourite people in the world.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 15/02/2020 17:29

Blowing an absolute hoolie and more to come.... stay safe all of you!

It's lashing down here, too - absolutely WILD!

BabySharksMummyShark · 15/02/2020 18:38

I may have fallen asleep as soon as i posted last night......

Hey Dandy! Reading your post about your dinner made me laugh!! (Sorry!)

7 i am loving it! I havent even touched the surface with what i will be doing but i can already tell it is better and a better environment than my old job!!

The weather is crazy here too! My bins were sent flying! (Must put some rubbish in them to stop them taking off!)

Did anyone hear about caroline flack? Im really shocked!

Cuttingthegrass · 16/02/2020 10:15

Hello all. It’s surprisingly quiet here on the weather front.

But the bun fighters on the other thread have won and it’s been deleted. Mhor can we use your remaining slab as a memorial for it please?

Off to cook soft dippy poached eggs the old fashioned way

7Worfs · 16/02/2020 10:18

Mhor can we use your remaining slab as a memorial for it please?

Lol Grin

I’m alright but I worry about a few posters who got their kicks from that thread. I hope they find other threads to thrive on Wink

DandyAF · 16/02/2020 10:37

What will the inscription be on the slab, that’s the Q Grin

It’s a bit ridiculous the thread was pulled with only one page before it was full, so close yet so far...

Sharkie (as I call you Wink) I’m so glad your new job is going well!

The Puppy is not DH’s favourite non-person person right now, because as well as staking her claim to his steak, she’s bedding down on his side of the bed.

yolofish · 16/02/2020 10:38

yeah, the power of whinging was well to the fore on no.17 towards the end! RIP Hubris & Malarkey.

Bloody Dennis has shifted my massive bonfire pile (of CF fame) halfway across the field, which is really bloody annoying. Weather proofing on my chicken run all blown off, luckily its inside the run though so I dont have to retrieve it from all over said sodden field.

Cant see much happening chez yolo today...

7Worfs · 16/02/2020 10:41

So what’s everyone doing for dinner? Grin

Mr Worfs is doing his ‘once every 5 years’ cooking - spaghetti Bolognese.
I’m not looking forward to it.

yolofish · 16/02/2020 10:52

Mr. Yolo said he would make chicken casserole, but has gone back to bed as had a bad night. Fingers xd for the spag bol 7!

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 10:59

DEATH OF A THREAD

This is a bad business.

Was it just the last one which was deleted or have they all gone?

Were there warnings from MNHQ prior to the removal?

OP posts:
TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 11:01

I can see that the previous threads have not been deleted.

OP posts:
7Worfs · 16/02/2020 11:03

Yeah MNHQ said it turned into a bunfight before deleting.
Message was let’s take a step back for a bit, meaning a new thread will be allowed when something newsworthy happens.

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 11:04

Moving on...………….

The RB was open yet again yesterday. I am thoroughly bewildered by this.

What the devil is he playing at? Mr. Mhor got six eggs on Friday (they were delicious) so maybe the RB has just decided to stay open every single day, in case Mr. or Mustress Mhor require anything in the butchery line.

Anything is possible.

Roast chicken and home-made fine oatmeal stuffing this evening.

Oh I am yum-yumming already and we've only just finished breakfast.

The egg today was 10/10. I have no complaints.

OP posts:
yolofish · 16/02/2020 11:05

There was speculation about whether Archie was real or not.

The usual suspects told everyone else how disgusting they were.

Then it just disappeared while I was upstairs getting dressed, I certainly didnt see any warnings while I was updating myself this morning.

Some rejoicing on the 'naice' thread.

TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 11:06

7Worfs I have decided to wait until something newsworthy occurs and then I shall start a new thread.

It would be best to scroll past the detractors. It worked before, after all.

OP posts:
TheMustressMhor · 16/02/2020 11:08

Oh Jesus yolo I can't believe that someone brought the "is Archie real" question back in to the debate. We sat on that several threads back because anyone believing that is clearly deranged FFS.

OP posts:
DivinationDandy · 16/02/2020 11:10

The speculation about Archie was ONE poster.
No, MNHQ did not give a warning.
They didn’t specify that a new thread will only be allowed when something newsworthy happens, they said to take a step back to cool off. They meant the bunfighting and everyone involved in the bunfighting, not just those discussing H&M.

7Worfs · 16/02/2020 11:11

Indeed, Mustress

Good to hear about the gloating on the naice thread, those posters deserve some happiness. Smile

DivinationDandy · 16/02/2020 11:15

Other people told the poster off for that comment and refused to engage. MNHQ seemed to overlook that. They could have just called that one post. The bunfighting was an issue but at the end it was just many posters coming on to say what a disgrace the threadS were in light of recent events (Caroline Flack).

ilovejeffgoldblum · 16/02/2020 11:15

God ! I wondered where it went! , was up late and last I checked it was there then it wasn't .
A real shame RIP thread Thanks
