The Robbing Butcher - Bemused by the Patio at FrogMhor Cottage

What next for the Robbing Butcher?

Will he wander past Mhor Cottage several times a day so that he can keep an eye on the progress of the patio?

Will Mr. Mhor's measurements turn out to be wrong? And will Mustress Mhor and her DH have too many SLABS as a result?

If they do, what will they do with them?

Will the eggs be dippy tomorrow?

Let's have a run of cat pictures. This is Cheilidh.

Never got into Dynasty. Dallas though, and even better, Terry Wogan opining about Dallas!

Still miss TW, especially the infamous trouser snake episode.

TheMustressMhor · 25/02/2020 22:40

And this is McVicar.

And we cannot forget Buster.

Oh, and the Robbing Butcher will be open in the morning.

Actually, every time I walk past his shop now, or go into it, I think of this thread.

I wonder what he would say if he knew he had been immortalised on MN?

Buster looks like a curious kitty. He's got the look of mischief. Cheilidh looks good as a lap warmer in winter. Cosy cat.

McVicar looks like a headmistress, in complete cat world she'd double as the church organ player in the villiage.

TheMustressMhor · 25/02/2020 22:51

Ha ha ha Catherine.

I myself am actually the church organist.

McVicar tries but has trouble with the pedals.

Beautiful cats mustress.

This is Tammie and SycoSootie in a rare moment of accord. You will notice that Tamz is rolling her eyes, and Sootie has that look of a cat like a coiled spring.

Tch, yolo - you need a light-coloured sofa behind those beauties.

We don't have cats, mainly because of these. Note there are three of them. The one at the bottom lived until she was 13, a very great age for a boxer.
I hope that this is ok.
Yolo, I agreed with your post on 20 and also with your comments about the late, great Terry Wogan and Dallas, not the trouser snake though.

Hey LaMarschallin I used to watch Dynasty so that I could see Dex Dexter.

I cringe about that now.

Splendid hounds, absolute.

Has anyone got a picture of some Stornoway black pudding?

Your pets are gorgeous Yolo!!

Ahhhhh absolute

yolofish · 25/02/2020 23:07

aw froq we always say our Fat Stanley has baked bean pawsies!

He is fat though, and the other thing we say is looks as if he has been inflated by a bicycle pump up his arse!

Keeping 3 cats on the straight and narrow weight wise is tricky... Willis only has 3 teeth left (former stray, RSPCA rescue, then my mum's cat and now ours) so is on wet food.

SycoSootie wants Willis' food and will actually shove W out of the way to get it. Stan is addicted to kitty milk and will eat anything on offer.

Hey LaMarschallin I used to watch Dynasty so that I could see Dex Dexter.

Feel a bit less embarrassed in that case.

I used to love the credits - so unsubtle!
Every male was filmed against a background of (phallic) gushing oil well or (phallic) racing stallion or (phallic) popping champagne bottle or (phallic) rocket firework which then exploded....

Must have done terrible things to my developing sexuality.

In fact, Mr LaMars won't let me near a sparkler to this very day.

yolofish · 25/02/2020 23:09

absolute I grew up with boxers, lovely breed. I am now an absolute Lab fan though - so willing, so loving, and so bloody greedy!!

TheMustressMhor · 25/02/2020 23:11

I used to envy Alexis because she could have sex with him.

Yes, yes, I know they were fictitious characters.

I, too, was at an impressionable age.

Perhaps LaMa and I could share a double room in a Old Folks Home eventually.

You bring the square sausage and I'll bring the pictures of Dex and Jeff...

Old age has no fears for me now! Smile

mustress are you fucking MAD?? The last thing I need is a light coloured anyting - black lab, one completely black cat, two b&w tuxie cats?? Is there any wonder we all dress like bloody Goths?!

BTW if anyone is considering adopting a cat from rescue, please choose a black or b&w one - they are the hardest to rehome, and one of the reasons giving in this insta day and age is that it's hard to get good photos of them. So sad.

TheMustressMhor · 25/02/2020 23:21

Oh Lord, yolo I didn't mean anything bad about the sofa. Sorry.

If Mr. Mhor and I adopt another cat we want to make sure the next one is black, for the reasons you've given.

Yolo
I only came to love boxers late in life, late 40s but now I wouldn't share my home with any other breed. They each have such distinct personalities, my ma in law used to say they're like people, not dogs. Such comedians, funny, loyal, brave, protective.
I've only ever known one lab, Capper, fabulous dog, he lived with a friend of mine, I cried the day Capper had to go. You're right, they're greedy buggers.
Mustress You and La Ma in an old folks home would be a staffing nightmare. Funny to think about though

TheMustressMhor · 25/02/2020 23:25

Ha! I've been Matron of a Care Home.

I wouldn't admit a patient like myself for love nor money.
