Cannot decide if this is enough for dinner:

roast chicken

oatmeal and garlic stuffing

roast onions

roast carrots

roast potatoes

Yorkshire puddings

gravy

What do you think?

Mus it sounds really nice! You and your dh sound quite gourmet !
Did you manage to dispatch the pink gin?

TheMustressMhor · 26/01/2020 14:23

Bloody hell jeff I have to pretend the pink gin is lovely, just to get it down.

Ugh.

And nobody would describe DH and I as gourmet. Greedy, yes.

@ilovejeffgoldblum

I have sent you a PM.

Mustress I think it’s the right amount of food, it will leave some space for dessert.

TheMustressMhor · 26/01/2020 14:47

Oh bugger.

I never thought about dessert.

Maybe a packet of chocolate raisins?

OP posts:
7Worfs · 26/01/2020 14:53

Well desserts here are mashed banana or mango in plain yogurt so... Grin

That said earlier I scoffed two giant chocolate chip cookies whilst hiding in the kitchen and I almost regret them.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 26/01/2020 14:53

Mur 👍

Curly 😐

7Worfs · 26/01/2020 14:58

Lol Curly I saw that. It seems many lurkers are put off by several posters, who increasingly appear more and more aggressive while constructing a victim narrative.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 26/01/2020 14:59

Bit of a tag team .

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 26/01/2020 15:04

I've just been looking through my dried herb store to find cayenne pepper for cheese scones, immediately followed by flinging the majority of the jars in the bin as out of date. One dated as far back as 2013 😱. The shame!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 26/01/2020 15:07

Cheese scones!! How about smoked paprika?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 26/01/2020 15:07

@WendyMoiraAngelaDarling

Reminds me of the

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 26/01/2020 15:08

Mustard in the mix enhances the taste of cheese

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 26/01/2020 15:11

Definitely putting mustard in. No smoked paprika sadly. Maybe we will just make sweet ones this week and cheese next week as I do like to have the little enhancements or what's the point?

TheMustressMhor · 26/01/2020 15:12

Ooh yes. I always add mustard to cheese sauce.

I did my cupboards before Christmas, I was shocked I actually had cans that were out of date!
One pie filling had leaked from a can ! Can you believe it?

TheMustressMhor · 26/01/2020 15:16

You should have started a thread about your leaking tin ilovejeff.

You would have had a wonderful response on AIBU, with half the posters telling you they would still have eaten the contents of the tin and the other half telling you off for buying tinned stuff in the first place.

A small side-group would have pointed out that they clean all their cupboards daily, so would never have encountered tins that were out of date.

I have many, many out of date items. Next year's Christmas puddings were bought LAST January. I can guarantee they will be delicious.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 26/01/2020 15:27

I am very embarrassed mur Blush, to be fair I'm very short and it was top cupboard, to reach I have to boost up and sit on counter, so I don't do it often as you can tell ! . Not brave enough for aibu! I'm a wuss😀

ilovejeffgoldblum · 26/01/2020 15:28

My my puddings were also last years! Although I did find older ones Blush

ilovejeffgoldblum · 26/01/2020 15:31
