January is the most popular time of year for booking a holiday. So have you booked yours yet?

We are going to the Murcia region of Spain for two weeks in August, flights, car hire and large detached villa with private pool all booked.
Two weeks of chilling by the pool, nice food and watching the Olympics 😊

Bluewavescrashing · 02/01/2020 22:08

Ooh that sounds lovely.

We are going to Prague for 3 nights, Lalandia in Denmark for a week and France in the summer (mobile home in a good campsite.)

It's nice to have trips to look forward to 🙂

we are going to Africa for 2 weeks in August.

FizzyPink · 02/01/2020 22:11

We’ve just booked 10 days in a 5* adults only resort in Kos, very excited!

Bluewavescrashing · 02/01/2020 22:13

God I'd love to go to an adults only resort! Only 12 years until my youngest is 18 😁

Canary Islands at Easter, Balearic Islands in summer and Dubai or New York or Vegas or a cruise or Budapest or something totally different in November/December time... I just can't decide!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/01/2020 22:14

Just booked a night in a Hotel du Vin for tomorrow, so that's my first holiday!

We'll probably go to either London, Bath or Yorkshire in February and then to maybe Copenhagen or another city break in April.

And in the summer we'll probably do two trips - Berlin and either Munich or Italy.

I feel very, very lucky to be able to afford to travel a bit.

schoolcats · 02/01/2020 22:16

Australia for five weeks

leccybill · 02/01/2020 22:17

Porec, Croatia in August for 11 nights.

Bluewavescrashing · 02/01/2020 22:18

When my DCs are teenagers I'd love to go to Australia with them.

A couple of trips to our boat in France. A fortnight in Rwanda/Uganda later in year. Isle of Wight a couple of times. A couple of shorter city breaks but not sure where yet.
A working holiday to India and possibly Singapore as well.

HarrietSchulenberg · 02/01/2020 22:20

I never know if I can afford a holiday so tend to book last minute if cashflow permits in July/August. As my holidays tend to involve tents and UK travel (due to aforementioned lack of money), this is never a problem.
It also means I can go wherever I fancy without too much forward planning.
If I had the money, though, I'd go for Canada, Russia or Scandinavia.

Pipandmum · 02/01/2020 22:21

Just came back from the US yesterday. Huge amount spent (didn't go away at all for 18 months and before that a staycation) so not sure we can afford it but if so it will be to the costa Blanca in Spain where I've been going since I was a toddler. Kids love it but it's very isolated, no tv, no internet and I'd rather go with another family, which is tricky.

As it stands nowhere as I’m on the waiting list for surgery so can’t plan anything.

Currently looking at booking a Norwegian Fjords cruise for 2021 as part of my recovery though Smile might try to sneak a short break to our favourite log cabin towards the end of this year if I’m sufficiently recovered though!

Bluewavescrashing · 02/01/2020 22:36

I hope your surgery goes well @Orangesox Flowers

Butlins for a long weekend in June and the French Riviera for 2 weeks in August. Rather different holidays there.

kittykatkitty · 02/01/2020 22:47

Kefelonia for 2weeks in June.
Apartment and car booked

MadisonAvenue · 02/01/2020 22:53

We're going to Los Angeles in May, hopefully there'll be a European city break later in the year too.

Aceinthehole · 02/01/2020 22:56

Sitges for 10 days in August, staying in an Air BnB. We have terrible luck with weather, keeping fingers crossed for Spain in August!

DawnAnn · 02/01/2020 22:56

We have booked a trip to New York for this Summer. Planning on booking a week away in Majorca for late Summer / early Autumn.

mildlymiffed · 02/01/2020 22:59

I've booked my very first single parent holiday- for me and DS- on an activity holiday in Italy at end of July! Hoping we'll love it!

tinytemper66 · 02/01/2020 23:02

In London as I type. Going to Alicante in Feb, Centre Parcs in May and Sorrento in August. May also go to Seville.

NoFun21 · 02/01/2020 23:03

Avoiding any air travel .

userxx · 02/01/2020 23:09

Just got back from the canaries for Xmas so will leave my holiday search until later on in the year. Think I'd like to go to Greece.

theecosystem · 02/01/2020 23:11

How do you guys plan so far in advance?

We book a few weeks before each time we go away, except long haul but even then we would never know our whole yearly plans by JanuaryBlush
