Ahem-that's better

I mainly enjoyed that! Got pretty frustrated at remembering the sequence of flashing squares, although was top 10% for that somehow!
Must say I have no idea where my DS gets his poor attention span from Wink

Here’s mine Confused

Well I do feel like an absolute idiot especially compared to you all.

My excuse that I'm very tired and was working through it way too slowly. I thought I blitzed the logic questions but obviously not.

Funny enough I thought that I have a very bad attention span but then again I think I can hyper focus sometimes.

I'm really surprised at how well I did in the mental rotation test. I mean, I'm not after I went through it and found it easy, but it's not one I would have predicted. I'm also quite surprised at how well I did in the emotions.

I’ve been doing a sort of Rorschach test on the graphs as I’ve scrolled... so far I’ve seen a backwards Queen Nefertiti, a crib, a helmet, a boat and a speech bubble.

Looks fun though; I’ll try it when I have a moment Smile

It would be so interesting to know what careers everyone does along with the screenshot of their result! To see whether eg nurses all have similar shaped results?

I got top 5% in the mental rotation one and then got a really mixed bag for the others, some top 10% and top 20%, others bottom 50%.

I did terribly in the attention one! I work in marketing.

Yes - but it might not mean you're good at your job. It could be the results show you you'd really be better suited to IT than nursing or something. In any case, in most teams, you want a mix of people, with different strengths and weaknesses.

PointlessUsername · 03/01/2020 00:42

Did really bad on some.

It would be interesting to know what the results mean in depth.

Still can't get it to load.

I have aspergers so not surprised by the emotional face one!

Nothing unexpected in my results. Low Spatial Intelligence confirms why driving doesn’t come easily to me.
I was impressed by the Personality test afterwards. Turns out I’m English +10% all the way round!

Did anyone set up an account at the end? It says you can log in and retake the tests to see if there are changes over time. I've tried to work out how to log back in to it but can't even find that option on the pages. I've been using a tablet so maybe an account needs a different device?

EugenesAxe · 03/01/2020 15:51

This was my chart in the end. I only got about three wrong in the emotions test so each incorrect answer must have a fairly strong influence on that score.

I did appallingly compared to most of you! I definitely got quicker the further in to the test I was, possibly getting in to the swing of it? Shall I blame it on my toddler distracting me, DH asking me what I want doing with this and that over and over, or just accept I’m rubbish 😄

It definitely felt like a data gathering type quiz, I gave all false answers at the end. For the purposes of the test, I am a 6 ft 2, 25 stone, 28 year old woman with no kids and no job. I was honest when they asked if I answered the questions as honestly as possible...I said no!

@Barbaraanne22 @WeshMaGueule

LOL me too! Oxbridge educated scientist with 2 MAs, speak several languages, music diploma, IQ in the top 0.5% (last tested 5 years ago) but my highest score was in the top 10% and 2 were in the bottom 50%! Funnily enough, my best score was the concentration task, when my phone rang, a pop-up window blocked the test, and I had to rescue a bunny from the recycling bin mid test Grin

It doesn't test all areas of intelligence though - presumably because they are looking at the type of skills that might be affected (both negatively and positively) by reading online rather than books, playing computer games etc.

My mind is especially boggling over the social media question that asked whether you use the long-defunct Friends Reunited though!

BouleBaker · 03/01/2020 17:37

Not good at the emotional one or planning, but I know those are my weaknesses!

Aragog · 03/01/2020 18:18

I did it for a second time to compare the results. First image is today, second on the 1st.

The Emotional Discrimination (facial recognition) one I still did badly in. I got 41/50, which is the bottom 50%. It was the open mouth/neutral or slightly displeased ones I struggled with I think.

I did much better in the Tower of London/Planning one. Top 20% this time so think its just because I knew what I was supposed to be doing this time round.

Exactly the same for Spacial Working Memory and Mental Rotation (top 5%) However I found the Verbal Working Memory one (the number sequence) much trickier (Top 50%) than the Spatial one (block sequence)
Verbal Reasoning went up from Top 10% to Top 5% but I dropped in Spacial Intelligence from Top 10% to Top 30%. I messed up the first couple for some reason.
Attention I did better on, going from bottom 50% to Top 30%. I had less distractions today and also moved the laptop away a bit so could see more of the box at the same time.

I clearly need to work on facial recognition, especially the more neutral or subtle ones - you'd think with my job teaching children it would be a strength area really. And being able to hold number sequences in my head - I think this is becoming a lost skill since we no longer need to remember telephone numbers, etc perhaps.

I really enjoyed this too! But absolutely shocking at the planning - for some reason I just couldn't get my head around what I needed to actually do!

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 03/01/2020 20:26

I misread how to play the second one. I thought it was like the old games where you had to move one circle to a peg one at a time. It’s my own fault for not reading the rules properly, if I did it again I would ace that part.

Verbal reasoning I struggle the most with, I’m surprised at my memory scores as I thought I did badly.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 03/01/2020 20:45

I gave up. Dyspraxia and dyslexia make me so frustrated

FenellaMaxwell · 03/01/2020 22:35

I’m surprised and pleased with that - it’s lovely to know my brain hasn’t gone utterly to shit like I thought!

ImAllOut · 30/12/2020 21:30

Just to resurrect this from the dead, has anyone had their follow up test? Just did mine but regret doing it on my phone rather than laptop this time around as the bottom of the attention game was cut off so I fucked that right up Grin

Terfterfterf · 30/12/2020 22:50

I just did the test today and was pleased but not surprised by the results.
After the test there is a survey (not compulsory) which has a load of questions about how you've coped with the pandemic, lockdown, health etc. Quite interesting and will be useful if fed into national databases for future planning.

Thanks for the link!
