I don't know how many years this has been going, but we can't break the tradition now!

I can offer:
endless bottles of Shloer (half price at Tesco)
leftover macaroni cheese
a ton of Heroes/Celebrations
a billion chocolate coins

There will be a table of nut-free products for anyone who's allergic like me.

Let the party commence!

I treated myself to a bottle of really nice M&S bubbles - why not. It's not like I'm going out. Gonna cook a roast and enjoy a few glasses, bed at 10 🤣

user32564567 · 31/12/2019 14:30

No booze?

user32564567 · 31/12/2019 14:31

Is this how MN parties these days?

Need a drink after the miserable scary week I've had!

Bottles of Shloer and slices of Christmas cake coming up Xmas Grin

Patsypie · 31/12/2019 14:52

I've already started! My last hurrah before dry January and Weight Watchers!

LadyLindaT · 31/12/2019 14:54

I'm doing tapas.

neverornow · 31/12/2019 14:54

Ha ha love this!

I haven't got dressed yet today and am thinking I won't bother so PJ day/ night, I've got fizzy drinks and the kids selection boxes

Going to look up holiday resorts for next Xmas, we've decided we're going away for some winter sun next year in between Xmas and New Years

Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/12/2019 14:55

I have a bottle of Baileys and Doritos. Great combo! Grin

I shall be alone at home after DS goes to bed.

babasaclover · 31/12/2019 14:57

@neverornow where are you thinking of going? I've been looking myself for actual Xmas day. A week somewhere sunny. We used to go to Egypt or Caribbean but don't fancy that with a toddler. Thinking canaries or Cape Verde now as fairly short flight

GlowWine · 31/12/2019 15:06

Hello, I can add a bit of Germanic flavour to the proceedings?

I'll be offering Raclette later, and Feuerzangenbowle (think posh mulled wine) see how it's made:

And we all have to watch 'Dinner for one' or it would not be NYE:

An article about it in the guardian last year: Dinner for One: the British comedy Germans have been laughing at for years
www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2018/dec/30/dinner-for-one-german-television-new-years-eve

neverornow · 31/12/2019 15:15

@babasaclover I'm looking at the Canaries & Cape Verde as well. Haven't looked into it properly yet but I believe we may need vaccinations for Cape Verde and if so, that'll be off the list as there will be 10 adults and 7 kids going...we'd wind up paying a fortune on vaccines alone!

I reckon it'll be Tenerife...seems to be good n hot at that time of year Smile

Lovely to start the new year with a holiday planned!

MaureenMLove · 31/12/2019 15:17

Go on then.

I have new pjs and socks to put on, mussels and bread for tea and plenty of drink.

Joining the Bootcamp this new year, so I have to eat and drink everything in the house!

sockittome123 · 31/12/2019 15:18

I won't be bringing booze but you are welcome to! Grin

babasaclover · 31/12/2019 15:39

@neverornow don't think you need vaccines for Cape Verde - we went in 2012 to escape the Olympics as I work in London - it was fabulous. We went adults only then but it was a riu chain and lovely

Jumpi · 31/12/2019 15:45

I can’t decide whether to stay in or go out. Will someone decide for me?

Out: just H and I will go for a curry and then to the pub for a few drinks. He will drive us home after midnight.

In: H, me and the cats. H will pick up a curry with enough for an additional feast for tomorrow too. We’ll play board games, watch tv and both will have a few champagnes.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/12/2019 15:50

I'm voting for in, @Jumpi. The pub will only disappoint!

We're staying in. I have plenty of booze of all types plus loads of cheese and chocolate. I'm sorted!

dementedma · 31/12/2019 15:51

Bolognese and a last bottle of red here before Dry January. PJs dress code.

Jumpi · 31/12/2019 15:54

In it is. Thank you @NoWordForFluffy Smile

x2boys · 31/12/2019 16:06

NoWordForFluffy · 31/12/2019 16:13

I'll be round shortly, x2boys. I'm not too far from you!

x2boys · 31/12/2019 16:16

Your welcome FluffyGrin

Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/12/2019 16:28

DS and I are watching Harry Potter. Thinking of ordering a curry earlier rather than later as I bet wait times will be crazy.

I'll take a vodka @x2boys Smile

tilligan · 31/12/2019 16:38

I can offer many types of cheese, a half price Christmas cake, some veggie snacks and a bottle of port. Should be a good night, if I manage to stay awake!

1happyhippie · 31/12/2019 16:48

I will pop in briefly. I am at work at 6 in the morning so must not go crazy tonight!

Dd2 is itching to stay up and see midnight ( I am tempted to move the clocks forward in the house 😂😂 done it years ago with ds and it worked a treat, in bed by 9pm worn out from staying up to see in the new year 😂).
I have Doritos and dips and tons of chocolate plus a dog who’s terrified of fireworks! Should be a good night!
