I don't know how many years this has been going, but we can't break the tradition now!

I can offer:
endless bottles of Shloer (half price at Tesco)
leftover macaroni cheese
a ton of Heroes/Celebrations
a billion chocolate coins

There will be a table of nut-free products for anyone who's allergic like me.

Let the party commence!

@ParsleyPot
They started here as soon as it got dark. Inner London so no horses, but plenty of unhappy animals, including my cats, though they’re gradually getting better with them...
Hope your horses are as ok as possible.

Mary1935 · 31/12/2019 22:26

I’m enjoying the party - in bed though - that’s okay? Wake me up at mid-night if I drift off - I may snore - sorry in advance!!!

NewYearNewTwatName · 31/12/2019 22:27

Hello!

I brought Baileys, RITZ tomato and herb crackers and garlic dip. help yourselves.

I wasn't going to stay up for tonight as have to be up at 5.20 but I sat with DH watching the last leg and wide awake.

Anyone doing the first footing? I've got my plate ready.

Well, I've had a couple of vodkas, half a bottle of Aldi's blag Bailey's and I'm now on Prosecco!

We're watching Spectre too. But I've a head cold and am struggling to breathe, so I think I'll just go to bed soon.

Bunny, I think you need to LTB. Sorry! Have plenty of booze for now though.

justgivememulledwine · 31/12/2019 22:31

Flowers for bunnyfuller

I’m still here, me and dh getting slowly tipsy, ds1 glued to Xbox and ds2 &ds3 arguing over trivial crap, oh happy days 😆😆

Allinadaystwerk · 31/12/2019 22:32

Amys136 · 31/12/2019 22:32

My cats are completely no bothered by fireworks. I think it’s because they seem to start mid October for bonfire night round here.

Hope the horses settle down!

NoWordForFluffy · 31/12/2019 22:32

What year was it that NYE went baaaaad and the night watch shut the site down?!

fazakerleyjackie · 31/12/2019 22:33

I thought there were fireworks going off here. bang bang bang
I think it's an airlock in the ancient central heating pipes Blush
Another Baileys perhaps....

Scrumptiousbears · 31/12/2019 22:34

What year was it that NYE went baaaaad and the night watch shut the site down?!

Really? What happened?

Scrumptiousbears · 31/12/2019 22:36

I have Camembert and a second bottle of wine. The first emptied quite quickly. Grin

sockittome123 · 31/12/2019 22:36

@Amys136 @MarieVanGoethem
Thank you, they're ok at the moment because I'm popping out to see them every five minutes.

And I'm enjoying this MN party. Crown Smile

NewYearNewTwatName · 31/12/2019 22:44

Scrumptiousbears Yes it did. I missed it so can't tell you much about it, I they left a newbie in charge(I think she's still here but can't remember which one now) and she got overwhelmed with the drunken high jinks going on Grin

AccioMulledWine · 31/12/2019 22:47

We gave up on the takeaway - 2 1/2 hours later!! Now in bed ready to sleep 2019 away. Crappy New Year everybody (woop woop).

Bunnyfuller · 31/12/2019 22:49

Thank you. I don’t want to railroad.

My DD are here and I’m holding it together. I will keep reading the happy but quiet messages and sip some wine.

I’m a fucking idiot

sockittome123 · 31/12/2019 22:51

You are not an idiot Bunny, you are in a toxic marriage

@ParsleyPot
Glad they’re ok. We get fireworks for weeks round Diwali & Bonfire Night then about a week round New Year. My cats were 7 in April & this year was the first year they’ve not been in state of utter terror & panic throughout. They now just get a bit twitchy & will occasionally come & cling to me so that when the sky finally falls we will all be together. To be fair, I sometimes feel the same Blush

NoWordForFluffy · 31/12/2019 22:58

@Scrumptiousbears, I don't exactly remember. I posters were posting as if they were trolls or something and the new, inexperienced mod had a bit of a flap and just prevented posting across a couple of boards. It was a good few years' ago!

YearofMisAdventure · 31/12/2019 22:59

Hi ,

I did supermarket dash earlier and ended up with parsnip crisps, thai chicken soup and sausages (in the oven). Oh and chocolate matchsticks - help yourselves!

Only bought a mini prosecco though. Checked the cupboards and there is a large bottle of bacardi, won in a pub quiz, or vodka.

The only mixer I have is beetroot juice.

Vodka and beetroot? Like an alcoholic borsch soup? Smile

Maybe I can decorate with cucumber. That's practically a cocktail. Wine

YearofMisAdventure · 31/12/2019 23:00

Everyones snacks sound scrummy Smile

ParsleyPot · 31/12/2019 23:10

Erm... beetroot juice??

Itsigginingtolookalotlikexmas · 31/12/2019 23:12

Hello. Eating the dc's chocolates as I need to prepare my body for fucking veganuary.

Vintagevixen · 31/12/2019 23:12

I too have a mini bottle of Prosecco, have a sip anyone who fancies some.

Have cracked the after eights out too!
