Have you changed your mind about who to vote for in the GE?

Was wondering whether the leaders debates, political news or social media have made anyone change their mind about who to vote for? Also, any predictions about the outcome at this point?

School fees fafoutis

VanyaHargreeves · 21/11/2019 19:07

Hobsons Choice

I fear it will be Labour through sheer gritted teeth as I could never vote Tory and the other options are problematic

Trewser · 21/11/2019 19:07

Can't vote lib dem for various reasons and the legalisation of cannabis is just stupid.

Always Labour

Mrswalliams1 · 21/11/2019 19:16

No, I'll be voting conservative. JC will have this country on its knees with the planned spending and I would never vote for the liberal undemocratics

metoothree · 21/11/2019 19:20

100% labour - the manifesto is amazing and would turn this country around from the hideously unequal place its becoming.

I just cannot get my head around how anyone could vote for Boris (or a party that contains Jacob Rees-Mogg). He's already agreed to serve the NHS up on platter for US private healthcare companies FFS - just to mention only one of the very many awful things about him (racist, liar, etc etc)

VanyaHargreeves · 21/11/2019 19:21

Who should you vote for told me to Vote Green even though I strongly disagreed with Caroline Lucas being a good leader Grin

Trewser · 21/11/2019 19:23

He's already agreed to serve the NHS up on platter for US private healthcare companies FFS

No he hasn't.

Trewser · 21/11/2019 19:25

And anyway, the NHS needs reform. I'm sick of it being treated like some holy grail. We should all pay to use it, or at least pay the first 80 or so for drs appts etc (like denmark).

Tootyfilou · 21/11/2019 19:26

Labour. Always have. The manifesto is fantastic and will give real hope for millions of people. Mainly though I want to protect the NHS... I beg people to think about this, if the Tories win it will be privatised, its a moral and public duty to save it for future generations .

GOODCAT · 21/11/2019 19:29

I have moved back to Conservative. I am remain, but just cannot countenance the economic policies of the left.

I don't think that the conservatives are remotely doing enough to explain why we all end up better off with a more free market economy compared to the far left approach of the other parties.

How I vote is irrelevant though as I am in a very safe Conservative area which is pro Brexit.

Midgey91 · 21/11/2019 19:34

No, still going to vote conservative.

Tootyfilou · 21/11/2019 19:53

How can anyone with a shred of humanity vote Tory? you must have hearts of stone.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 21/11/2019 19:57

I thought I wouldn’t be voting and sitting this one out. The closer it gets the more I think I will probably vote. Conservative.

Trewser · 21/11/2019 19:59

You see thats what I'm sick of tootie

I'm sick of being told that I am heartless. I don't want to lose my pension (which is invested as Evan Davies tried to point out to cluless Chakrabarti on R4 today), I don't want to risk my business, savings, I dont want to pay an extra 20 percent on school fees, we cant afford to. I am sick of apologising for my life.

I'd be more than happy to pay more tax but I do NOT believe for one second that Labour will raise all that money from a few 'big businesses', so I have no choice but to vote tory. This doesn't make me a horrible person who wants old people to die on trolleys. Anyone that thinks Labour can fund their plans must be absolutely 100% mad.

NewName73 · 21/11/2019 20:00

I'm in a safe Tory seat, with a hard Brexiter MP.

I'm a staunch remainer & normally vote Green. This time I will vote LibDem (who normally come 2nd here) because I think they've got a chance of giving our incumbent a bloody nose.

Quellium · 21/11/2019 20:03

Bluntness - Boris is still going to take us out without a Deal, the trade negotiations cannot possibly be completed in time. It will happen at the end of next year unless he is stopped.

The NHS will be sold off to the Americans too. We will be in such a position of weakness. The vultures are circling.

Personally, as I cannot vote Tory ever, it is a choice between Labour and Lib Dem and I am unsure which is the best tactically. Mind you, it is a Tory safe seat, so in the end it probably doesn't really matter! Sad

Trewser · 21/11/2019 20:04

The NHS will be sold off to the Americans too
Boris said categorically that this won't happen.

Letseatgrandma · 21/11/2019 20:09

I was not going to vote Tory as I was concerned Boris was hell bent on taking us out with no deal.As this clearly isn't the case, I will vote for him.

I wonder what Boris has said in the last few weeks to make you think that?!

Oh dear! Grin

Helmlover1 · 21/11/2019 20:11

Trewser, how can you believe anything Boris Johnson says after his track record? He has proven to be untrustworthy and even some of his closest allies have confirmed this.

OP posts:
Quellium · 21/11/2019 20:17

Boris Johnson lied to the Queen. He rarely tells the truth. He only supported Leave because he thing it would benefit him. He doesn't really believe in it. He lies. Constantly.

Donald Trump said the NHS would be on the table in the trade deal before they told him to shut up and not give the game away.

It is already being sold off piecemeal.

How can you be so utterly naive? Trusting Boris Johnson?! You must also be insane.

Quellium · 21/11/2019 20:17

*thought not thing

PerkingFaintly · 21/11/2019 20:26

Oh god. There's soooo nothing about funny about this election, and yet... Two posts saying, "It'll be OK because Boris said..."

Oh dear.Grin Oh dearie me.Grin Oh dear dear dear.GrinGrinGrinGrin

Ahhhh, thank you. I needed a belly laugh like that.Grin

timeforawine · 21/11/2019 20:26

Nope still 100% conservative. We work bloody hard for our money (sometimes 7 days a week 8am until 2/3am for Myhusband) and I am not supporting someone who wants to take more of it away, why work if he gets in?!

SheSnapsThenSheFarts · 21/11/2019 20:33

Labour then and labour now
