Have you changed your mind about who to vote for in the GE?

Was wondering whether the leaders debates, political news or social media have made anyone change their mind about who to vote for? Also, any predictions about the outcome at this point?

Also think another’s peoples vote is now the only way to go with Brexit. Parliament has had a fair crack at it and failed miserably. Put it back to the people.

Well said @ 05MediocreOmens

KenDodd · 21/11/2019 21:30

For those saying Labour will ruin the country (I assume you mean financially) have there been any independent economic impact reports done on their policies?

We know these have been done with regard to Brexit (Tory policy) and this will cause enormous economic damage. Is it predictable Labour policies will be even worse?

@Trewser so if you get ill or become disabled you're happy to pay £80 to see a doctor but not pay an extra 20% on school fees? There but for the grace of God springs to mind. One day these people you look down on could be you.

JellyfishAndShells · 21/11/2019 21:37

No.

Doilooklikeatourist · 21/11/2019 21:43

Will still be voting Conservative
Where we live the Lib Dem , Green and Plaid Cymru have done a pact
As I would rather stick a pin in my eye than vote PC , I’m sticking with the Conservative
I voted Remain , and I think a second vote is undemocratic

KenDodd · 21/11/2019 21:44

Personally I don't think we have anything to worry about with regard Labour policies. All the polling experts say it'll most likely be a solid Tory win with a chance of a hung parliament. With a hung parliament Corbyn won't be able to implement most of his policies.

Trewser · 21/11/2019 21:44

renoir what makes you think i look down on anyone?

I like the Norwegian model for healthcare, when people pay for healthcare until they've spent 100 euro then the rest is free.

Winterisnigh · 21/11/2019 21:48

Parliament has not had a fair crack at brexit at all Hmm

It's had 3/4 of mps actively working against it!
It's also game strategy to draw it out, make it painful and try and change the political landscape.

I'm voting tory. I'm a swing voter. I voted leave and I believe its really important to follow through on this vote.
However taking brexit out of the equation there is no other credible party to vote for.

I couldn't touch labour as is with the longest barge pole. JC actually reminds me of Prince Andrew on that interview. He's not straight forward.

Renoirsdancer · 21/11/2019 21:48

OK saying you look down on people was unfair but saying we should pay £80 to see a GP seems a little like you live in a bit of a bubble where £80 is easily accessible. It's a huge amount of money to a lot of people, especially when these people are relying on dwindling benefits due to their ill health.

littlealexhorne · 21/11/2019 21:50

I was almost certain I was going to be voting Lib Dems but now I think I've switched over to Labour (though I live in a massive Tory stronghold so I can't see my vote counting either way)

Trewser · 21/11/2019 21:50

I didn't mean 80 per gp appointment, I mean pay for healthcare until it reaches around 80 pounds. Then the rest is free. They do this in Norway and it works well.

GinUnicorn · 21/11/2019 21:55

I am a hugely disloyal voter but will vote Lib Dem this time as they have a decent chance where I am

Renoirsdancer · 21/11/2019 21:57

But £80 is still a lot of money for a lot of people. Imagine deciding between getting a lump checked out and feeding your kids. I know what I'd do.

Cinammoncake · 21/11/2019 21:59

I think Corbyn has been more impressive than I expected (not a fan of his) so I'd be tempted by Labour but will vote LibDem this time.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 21/11/2019 22:19

Likely to vote Green but have concerns over some of their policies

I usually vote Labour but will not while run by Corbyn/Momentum

ethelredonagoodday · 21/11/2019 22:20

Considered Lib Dem, but will go with labour.

Poppy3249 · 21/11/2019 22:27

Have to vote tactically here and vote labour to try to avoid a Tory win, although I would normally vote LD. It’s a weird system!🤔

Quellium · 21/11/2019 22:29

That's insane. £80 is a huge amount of money. People would put off going and their illnesses would become worse in the mean time. I imagine those charges rack up pretty damn quickly too.

Letseatgrandma · 21/11/2019 22:32

Me,too.

Renoirsdancer · 21/11/2019 22:38

Exactly Quellium, I'm not sure £80 would even cover a GP appointment but even if it did, as a one off you're not going to pay it if that's you're family budget for the month. Because you couldn't!

howwillthispanout · 21/11/2019 22:52

Was going to spoil ballot paper but am pushed to Labour (lifelong member and activist) after today’s announcement and acknowledgment of Gender Criticial concerns (not totally addressed in any way but a start) Will hold my nose and vote for my Tory-lite Labour MP

Trewser · 21/11/2019 22:55

It is 80 in total. 100 euros in Norway. Gps appt is about 12 euros.

MotherofTerriers · 21/11/2019 23:05

I have never voted Tory in my life, and I am very old. But I may hold my nose and do so. It makes no difference, I’m in another party’s safe seat. Labours economic policies are frightening as is their anti semetism and disregard of women’s rights. Like it or not the Tory’s seem to be the only party not to have swallowed AWA agenda

JustAnotherPoster00 · 21/11/2019 23:07

It is 80 in total.

Due to my health I see my doctors twice a week, it would also take me 4 months to save £80 as long as I didnt have any unexpected emergencies, they dont pay us much but of course were all scroungers
