Prince Andrews slip ups

he said LOADS of things during that interview, where he was telling the truth, and forgetting his lie.

the only one I can remember now though is when talking about visiting JE house in (Bahamas?? not the NY one anyway). a witness had said he went 4 times a year. He said something like; 'you have to understand, when you go into one of those places...'

that's not how you talk about a friend's house. what are 'those places'?

Interesting that he has agreed to cooperate with authorities

I think Beatrice was planning on a quieter wedding.
They could get married anywhere and just release photos.
If I was her I would have a small wedding in one of the palace chapels, then a big do overseas. ( Italy)

IamPickleRick · 20/11/2019 18:51

Wow. Wasn’t expecting that announcement.

No Beatrice hasent done anything wrong but would anyone want the global press all the inevitable comment,s and news headlines on what's supposed to be the happiest day of their life?

Rosielily · 20/11/2019 18:53

I agree that Beatrice hasn't done anything wrong, but, it was PA who insisted Eugenie had the full works for her wedding. That caused criticism then, so I don't think that a similar event would go down at all well with the British public following these events!

that is interesting @CurlyWurlyTwirly

I wouldn't hold your breath, Curly. As I said elsewhere, the "discussions" over him being questioned could be dragged out for ever, and then when the spotlight's moved on it can all be conveniently forgotten about

And it beats me why he's receiving any credit at all for the latest remarks about the victims or his "regret" at associating with Epstein. Only days ago the story was very different and it's only too obvious that the latest one's merely designed to polish his image

Unfortunately you can polish a turd too ... but it's still a turd

babydog · 20/11/2019 19:06

are we REALLY bothered about whether Beatrice gets a really really really really expensive wedding or just a really really really expensive wedding, or possibly 2 x really really expensive weddings??

could we start a different thread for that

He is a veritable turd rolled in glitter. Glitterball 💩 👑🤦‍♀️

babydog · 20/11/2019 19:17

I think they forgot to roll it in glitter @sirhumphreydrinkalot

That, those, they are words liars use to distance/distinguish themselves from the lie being told.

Pretty basic known techniques that can anyone can google, as soon as he started to stutter and omit information on top, I knew.

7salmon

Fucking wanker.

God these rich old white men give me the rage angry

Purlease...old...he’s 8 years younger than me....I wasn’t seeing myself as old

Till now..by your recommendations...I’m positively elderly

But let’s not detract..from P I don’t sweat A

And let’s spare a thought for the signs of relief PC must be feeling
That JS died before all theslimy, sordid truth came out

I mean is the sort of guy you’d want hanging around the RF
Well yes obviously..it’s exactly the sort

Prince Andrew stepping back from royal duties

ThatLibraryMiss · 20/11/2019 21:22

I deeply sympathise with everyone who has been affected and wants some form of closure.

Sounds like Brenda has told him to shut up, sit down and issue this statement that a good PR company has carefully prepared.

Too little, too late.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 20/11/2019 21:53

Bye, Your Royal Highness, Felicia

ApplesinmyPocket · 20/11/2019 22:15

Just the words 'His Royal Highness' makes me laugh. Just say it aloud a few times. High-ness. He has more High than we.

We invented these silly terms for these very average people we kneel to for no good reason, and I think it's time we either dropped them or made up new ones. I shall think of him as the Grand Poo-Bah, or 'his Royal Baked Bean-iness' in future.

This is what happens when you take PR advice from your ex wife!

justasking111 · 20/11/2019 23:12

Wonder if Fergie will be kicked into the long grass after this or will they both slink off abroad together. I think his life will now be a slow decline with the media occasionally printing articles about the sad old geezer in some far flung destination whenever they are short of stories.

BlackCatSleeping · 20/11/2019 23:24

I think Fergie spends a lot of time in the US, but I can’t see that being an option for Andrew. He will probably do an OJ and just spend his days golfing.

HelloCheeky · 20/11/2019 23:25

7salmonswimming.

God these rich old white men give me the rage

Totally agree 7 about older, rich men but
are men of any other colour more virtuous ? White people are responsible for many wrongs, but sexual exploitation of women can be laid at the door of misogynists of all colours.

JediJim · 20/11/2019 23:34

Time will pass by, this will be old news soon enough. He’ll deny anything anyway, and there isn’t any proof either. I’d imagine he will just wait it out. He’s embarrassed/ humiliated the Royal family, he’ll now just slope off into the background.
I’m sure he’ll be financially ok, he’s not exactly on the breadline is he.
For the record , out of the Queens children I think Anne is the best out of the lot.

Bluntness100 · 21/11/2019 06:52

This is what happens when you take PR advice from your ex wife!

Firstly the press blamed his private secretary, female. Now they are blaming fergie. It really pisses me off when folk try to find a woman to blame. Andrew is a grown man, he makes his own decisions. He and he alone is to blame.

Either way the queen has taken him out and stripped him of his salary. The furore is getting worse, the british ambassador has basically politely said he lied and didn't stay with him when he said he did hence why he couldn't have slept with Virgina Roberts in New York. Another American female is saying she was paid to massage him, was sitting on his lap etc.

He is saying he will submit to questions by the police now. Yet apparently has made no move to do so. And his alibis that he put forward in the interview have been disproven by the media investigations.

It really is a complete mess. Clearly they are hoping if they take him out the public eye, and stop publicly funding him it might stand a chance of dying down or not impacting the rest of them, but it's only going to get worse.

In my experience, when the media go after someone like this, it's because they have something they wish to publish and can't. So they do lots of roundabout stories instead.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 21/11/2019 06:59

Prince Charles and Prince William were behind the scenes talking to the Queen dm link.

I wonder if he will keep police protection? That’s the most expensive part of a RF.
His income was 500k a year. He’ll still keep £250k from his mum.
So since leaving the navy, he’s earns nothing by himself.
I presume Fergie will go back to work.
I see a lot of interviews in America for her.

DerbyshireGirly · 21/11/2019 07:02

Great to hear that he won't be getting any more money from the Sovereign Grant. When it first broke that he wouldn't be carrying out any more royal duties yesterday there wasn't any mention of that.
