A continuation of the discussion regarding the MOD news and ethics surrounding Instagram “influencers”.

CB is aggressive, as anyone who's followed her can attest.

Saying you can't say that because she's black is pathetic and wrong.

I can't bear MOD but I'm sick of people saying she can't call CB aggressive just because she's black and it's a trope.

I’m quite enjoying some of the damage limitation posts from some of the bit part actors. DLAM and Alison Perry are currently trying to persuade us they are all about helping mums and not about rinsing the brands for money 🤔

Ultimately this shows some interesting parallels between the three women involved from the race angle of the whole saga to date.

CB was a madam in an escort agency. She confirmed it herself in a promotional video for Munchies where she was filmed making cock cakes few years after the documentary with Jodie marsh. Spun it into a sex worker for sympathy and heavily implied in her reveal post that this information was released to discredit her (indirectly giving birth to the rumour that it is MOD that did it although there is zero proof of that) then deleted all comments that questioned her "sex worker" rather than "madam" claim. +8k followers

Keleche had said some unsavory things about white women while addressing MOD's racism and got reported for those to then go off and sell a different story to her followers, embellishing the details of her own involvement into the whole saga in the process and sharing some "alternative facts" about what actually happened in the first place making them go viral on Twitter. +7k followers and blue tick

All three women have some sort of activism as part of their Insta offering. All of the above, starting with MOD have done stuff that indicates that their activism may lack integrity. None of them fully owned it. Same goes for the other instamums jumping on the bandwagon BTW.

Great post! The activism without integrity aspect comes back to the big issue any influencer will face: if you aren’t authentic and trustworthy it will come back to bite, eventually.

My friend just posed something interesting to me. She runs a website which uses an occasional affiliate code, if she deletes a page from her website (which has gleaned affiliate revenue) within 30 days of the last click and spend then she won’t make the money. After 30 days and the affiliate money has been processed.

Perhaps MOD won’t delete her Instagram until those swipe up affiliate links are firmly past that 30 day period?

The behaviour of various instas post this debacle is so telling in that they are supposedly 'women supporting women' but they are really out to make their own way and will use whatever they can to launch themselves. TMS is gurning about being vulnerable and isolated, HM is just me, me, me and Kelechi has already gone on a speaking circuit about how MOD made fun of her miscarriage (which I don't even think happened) CT needs time to process what has happened. The lot of them are just pathetic.

Madhatter - of course people asking her to explain her behaviour isn't trolling, I don't know why influencers think they are above being questioned. I don't like they way they block folk who have an opinion.
