What’s the FIRST thing you would buy if you won the lottery

Feel free to be as shallow as possible. Forbidden choices include: paying off your mortgage, going on holiday or charitable donations. You know, all the stuff we’d all actually do with a lottery win Grin

Mine would be to buy a really bloody nice handbag (never had one).

(Then of course I’d move on to the boring but important stuff).

a brand-new wheelchair access vehicle and a detached little bungalow with a garage to park it in!

sorrythisusernameisinuse · 03/11/2019 01:50

A jet ski. I went in the carribean 2 days ago and it was the best thing ever!

Rainbowqueeen · 03/11/2019 01:59

Bottle of Krug champagne

And I’d drink it all myself and if I liked it I’d buy a case

MrsTriOskvi · 03/11/2019 02:04

New teeth

happycamper11 · 03/11/2019 09:21

A big house with lots of stables for all the horses I'd buy next

GretelGreen · 03/11/2019 09:27

OMG well done people, some absolutely brilliant (and really random Grin) ones!

Second on my list would be my next door neighbour’s house.

Also a company who does mature tree planting to come and removed the small hedge we’ve planted and are waiting to grow (will be years) and replace it with a fully mature, tall hedge to block out our neighbour behind’s external light which they insist on leaving on ALL NIGHT EVERY NIGHT.

Oh and then I’d hit John Lewis hard.

Dh is rubbish at this and can’t think of anything. Ds says air pods so he can ‘flex’ on everyone Grin

Definitely a really really nice night away somewhere

KatherineJaneway · 03/11/2019 09:33

Go to John Lewis and buy a huge tv.

MissMarpletheMurderer · 03/11/2019 09:37

Temeraire best response, I now want one.
I would go straight to the jewelers then cobblers and get diamonds put in the soles of my shoes.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/11/2019 09:38

Lego. Lots of Lego. And assign a room in my house to Lego.

Muffinbutton · 03/11/2019 09:40

I'd book my very handsome but very badly made labrador in to see the Supervet so that he can be fixed. And maybe build him his own hydrotherapy suit.

Cocolapew · 03/11/2019 09:43

A first class ticket to Minneapolis and a VIP tour of Paisley Park. It's not a holiday but a pilgrimage so I'm allowed it Grin

DeadButDelicious · 03/11/2019 09:44

A 1950's Cadillac hearse. Which I would do up the nines in leopard print, velvet and chrome. With skulls. And bats.

Then I'd pay to go on one of those intensive driving courses so I could drive the bloody thing. 😂

BuzzingtheBee · 03/11/2019 09:44

Employ a housekeeper come nanny

RedRiverHog · 03/11/2019 09:45

A field and lots of dog agility equipment.
Go shopping Supermarket Sweep type shop. Grab whatever I fancy!

DeadButDelicious · 03/11/2019 09:46

I'd also adopt at least 2 more rescue pugs.

GretelGreen · 03/11/2019 09:49

Cocolapew I’ll allow it - but no more holidays until you’ve indulged! Grin

A Princess X95 yacht. Boats are my thing 😁

GrotbagsBetterLookingSister · 03/11/2019 09:50

Fill the cupboards with loads of nice food and redecorate the house (I'd even push the boat out and pay for some decorators to do it properly) and replace all the furniture that's falling apart.

Keepmewarm · 03/11/2019 10:02

@DeadButDelicious I’ll drive for you. Sounds fabulous

DeadButDelicious · 03/11/2019 10:06

@Keepmewarm You're on!

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 03/11/2019 10:06

I’d hire an architect to design and project manage the building of my new house. We’d collaborate on the design, so I would incorporate all the things I want in a house, but he’d do the work and sort all the trades. I’d swan around choosing fixtures and fittings. With an interior designer, who I’d also hire.

Then I’d buy an electric car, which would be super comfortable and have a huge range, so I didn’t need to charge it often.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 03/11/2019 10:08

Some nice food and booze and have a celebration party with my nearest and dearest.

AntiHop · 03/11/2019 10:08

A car. We've never had one.
