What’s the FIRST thing you would buy if you won the lottery

Feel free to be as shallow as possible. Forbidden choices include: paying off your mortgage, going on holiday or charitable donations. You know, all the stuff we’d all actually do with a lottery win Grin

Mine would be to buy a really bloody nice handbag (never had one).

(Then of course I’d move on to the boring but important stuff).

I'd buy two new houses - one in the country and one here where I live. Also a porsche. And lipo-suction. (I think I'm kidding about the last one....)

RoseMartha · 03/11/2019 00:24

A detached house with no near neighbours

IncyWincyGrownUp · 03/11/2019 00:24

I’d book a day trip to Rigby & Peller for me and a few friends, and wouldn’t leave until we’d all been sorted with decent sodding undies.

Tailor afterwards, as I don’t like most clothes in the shops.

I’d order three of every single type of snag tights on the website too.

I may splash out on some handmade leather boots too.

So shallow, but you did ask :)

MulticolourMophead · 03/11/2019 00:27

OK, so once the house and car have been sorted, I'd buy gym membership, to help me shift some weight.

MulticolourMophead · 03/11/2019 00:27

And I forgot the drum kit.

Willow2017 · 03/11/2019 00:32

A new top of the range version of my car. Mine is knackered just spent a load of £ on it and it's still got the same damm problem just other stuff been fixed!

Then I would trawl the net for a fabulous old house nearby that ticks all my boxes. Personally I would move far away from here but ds2 would be devastated to move from school and friends so that will have to wait.

Then buy a huge fridge freezer so I can actually get a load of stuff in freezer when I batch cook (nowhere to put a single freezer)

Put our name down for a proper natural shaped GSD puppy either from GSD rescue or good breeder. Been too long not able to get another dog.

(Would love a Winnebago but would need someone to drive it for me😁 how the hell do you park one of those things never mind navigate towns?)

RainbowMum11 · 03/11/2019 00:33

Gin. To begin with & maybe some Prosecco.
I would pay someone to come and tidy & clean my house regularly!
I would build an extension and perhaps make a home office in the garden for my new business.
A huge family holiday would be amazing, but would have to be relatively local due to health issues in the family.
Other than that, I don't need anything else.

Nat6999 · 03/11/2019 00:35

Feelinghelplesstoday I'm in a council flat at the moment, I'm disabled, Autistic with an Autistic ds. I would love to live in a house when I had no noise from neighbours through the walls & ceilings, it does my head in, plus a brand new house should be built to the latest building regs which would make it more disabled friendly, level access outer doors, wider inner doors. I would love somewhere that nobody else has put their stamp on that I could make my own with some outside space I could enjoy some peace & quiet.

LemonPrism · 03/11/2019 00:35

An electric car and a parking space. We can't have a car because our flats don't have spaces (a space sells for £30k around here) and also can't afford a nice electric one.

Then I would take some time off work.

I would buy a country cottage with land for clay lodge on shooting and would buy a buy-to-let and rent to my friend.

Oh and clothes.

AnotherEmma · 03/11/2019 00:40

I would buy an amazing new house but it would take time to find it and complete on it, so the FIRST thing I'd buy is a car, a nearly new electric car (probably a Kia eNiro unless there is something better since I last looked).

I would also book loads of holidays and employ various staff (cook/housekeeper, nanny, house/garden maintenance person, personal shopper and personal trainer).

I am short of time rather than things!

Gingernaut · 03/11/2019 00:45

A 'naice' house close to where I work, which is in an upmarket area.

Cantdecidewhere · 03/11/2019 00:51

Land...so I could plant my own forest.
Interior designer & landscapers to do a makeover of my house.
Top spec version of my current car.
Airline tickets to bring family home for Christmas.
Personal trainer to come in every morning for 20-30mins.
Hairdresser 2 or 3 times a week!

This is fun!

57Varieties · 03/11/2019 00:53

A motorhome and a mini

lesleyw1953 · 03/11/2019 00:57

A personal trainer to take me to John o' Groats, issue me with water and crispbreads and salad and make me walk all the way back to Wiltshire whilst watching me like a hawk (The only way I am going to lose this weight!) Then horse riding along the Grand Canyon ...

JenniferM1989 · 03/11/2019 00:57

A toy shop and a tummy tuck

DontCallMeShitley · 03/11/2019 01:02

A detached house with some land that I could loan to an animal sanctuary. It would have to be far enough away from any noisy bastarding neighbours but close enough to some shops, and that is something I dream of but will never have.

cannycat20 · 03/11/2019 01:07

A Sindy ballerina doll. From the 1970s. Original. Boxed. With brown hair and poseable joints.

TheBeesKnee · 03/11/2019 01:10

A really nice cake and a new pair of trainers!

CuteOrangeElephant · 03/11/2019 01:11

Allll of the Frugi for DD.

Full price, current collection. Not last season's collection in the sale or second hand like she usually gets.

Steamfan · 03/11/2019 01:12

A detached house with a decent garden so I could have another greyhound, or maybe another two greyhounds, and I'd give my son some money so he could afford to buy a house, and then I'd like a first class train ticket - no sure where to, just would like the chance to go first class!

Adollop · 03/11/2019 01:17

I'd hire a cook and a housekeeper, after that I'd buy a sports car .

Itslookinglikeabeautifulday · 03/11/2019 01:18

A Tesla. My hubby would live one and so would the kids. Guess I could put up with one too Grin

Elbowedout · 03/11/2019 01:20

Bikes. Many bikes. Some lovely new cycling clothes. And some smart storage racks to fit all my new bikes on the walls in the house.

Adollop · 03/11/2019 01:20

Oh, and a house with an outdoor heated swimming pool.

Pieceofpurplesky · 03/11/2019 01:38

A really gorgeous note pad and pen to write a letter handing my notice in. I would say all the things I wanted to say - in style
