How many seats do you have in your living room?

I have a 3 seat corner sofa and a 2 seat

So 5 people can comfortably sit here.

Just wondered what the average is as mine seems small.

A 4 seater sofa, it's just DH and I. We never have people over

Batshittery · 27/10/2019 18:55

A large 2 seater that fits 3 at a squash and a 1 seater.
Why don't invite guests Grin

Family of 2 adults- large sofa , single armchair , bench seat that can be perched on and two bean bags.

meow1989 · 27/10/2019 18:56

A small 3 seater and a 2 seater, just DH, me and our 16 month old ds.

musicinspring1 · 27/10/2019 18:56

2 adults and 3 dc that should have read !!

Batshittery · 27/10/2019 18:56

*We

ChanklyBore · 27/10/2019 18:58

13/14 if it’s a party and people are perched on arms/sat on the floor.

9/10 if squashed up a bit.

7/8 comfortably.

4/5 stretched/slobbing out.

HarrietM87 · 27/10/2019 18:58

3 seater and 2 seater sofas and 2 chairs, so 7. 2 adults and one toddler atm but it’s a fairly big space.

AllStar14 · 27/10/2019 18:58

I have 3dc and a 5 seater corner sofa.

Justabadwife · 27/10/2019 18:59

We have 2 2 seater sofas. So 4. We quite often sit on the floor against the sofa though. :)

ILiveInSalemsLot · 27/10/2019 18:59

9 seats altogether. We often have family and friends over.

AnnaNimmity · 27/10/2019 19:00

I could sit about 10 on the 2 sofas I think. They're both extra large Loaf sofas - so probably meant for 3 people, but I think I could get more on!

My sofa in my other living room - all 6 children sit on it playing on the PS4!

I had people round recently and we sat at the dining table.

Tooearlyforadrink · 27/10/2019 19:01

13/14 if it’s a party and people are perched on arms/sat on the floor.

I mean ... we’d all have a lot more “seating” if we counted floor space Confused

Just 2 of us. 2 massive sofas. Which can easily seat 5 each. And a big, low footstool which seats 3.

Kez200 · 27/10/2019 19:01

6 and room for more if we dont want to be able to easily walk through. Only 2 of us so 6 is plenty.

Waiting1987 · 27/10/2019 19:01

5 seater corner sofa and another 3 seater.

Elieza · 27/10/2019 19:02

Depends how big your room is! I have kitchen chairs I can bring through if reqd. And a large pouffe.

Crunchymum · 27/10/2019 19:02

One large sofa. Meant to be a 3 seater but myself, DP and two kids fit on it comfortably (and I am not slim!)

We also have an arm chair and a baby to toddler bouncer for the little one

If we have guests then me and DP take the floor / we all sit in kitchen.

LadyLanka · 27/10/2019 19:02

3 seater, 2 seater & armchair plus a footrest that could serve as a stool. Mind you the last time all seating was occupied was probably 16 years ago.

LuckyLuckyWoman · 27/10/2019 19:02

3 x two seater settees. Could easily get three people on each one.

Oldraver · 27/10/2019 19:03

3 seater settee and a chair.

I used to have a 2 and 3 seater and when my folks came my Mum would take over the bigger settee for herself. She was really pissed off when I got rid of the 3 seater (as it collapsed) and replaced it with a chair.

She kept threatning to order another 2+3 so she could lie down when she came Grin

StroppyWoman · 27/10/2019 19:03

Two 2-seaters and an armchair, so 5 comfortably. We can rope in a couple of other seats in an emergency. It's not a large room so it would be hard to accomodate more (and still have room for a telly)

PotteringAlong · 27/10/2019 19:04

3 seater sofa, 2 seater sofa and an armchair. There’s 5 of us.

RaininSummer · 27/10/2019 19:04

Five but I drag various footstools and folding chairs into action when I have guests.
