How many seats do you have in your living room?

I have a 3 seat corner sofa and a 2 seat

So 5 people can comfortably sit here.

Just wondered what the average is as mine seems small.

One big corner sofa that easily seats four; one armchair; one very large footstool which is a seat. Dining table and six chairs in another part of the same room so can bring chairs over when required.

There's 4 of us and 4 chairs. We really don't want other people visiting us. We've got a 2 seater sofa (can fit 3 on if at least one of those is a child), an armchair and dh's computer chair (his desk is in the living room too). We'd rather have floor space than seating space, and tbh the shape of the room doesn't really lend itself to more seating

We have a medium corner sofa, 6 pieces including 2 parts to make the corner, so sits 5 comfortably and probably more if we had people round

Noflora · 27/10/2019 19:07

10, on 2 sofas, 2 armchairs and 2 more upright chairs

letsdolunch321 · 27/10/2019 19:08

5 seats in total

TheTempest · 27/10/2019 19:11

I have a4 seater sofa a 2 seater and arm chair so 7. Me DH 10yo DD and our lodger at the moment, 21yo DSD is moving back in next week. I also have 5 dogs though, we have people round a lot and never seem to run out of space🤷‍♀️

OnlineShopping · 27/10/2019 19:11

On a normal day we have enough comfortable sofa seats for seven adults. We have room to bring in more for when we have guests round.

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 27/10/2019 19:14

Not enough.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 27/10/2019 19:16

3 seat sofa, 2 seat sofa, pouffe.

Ok, 5 really.

RedJoan · 27/10/2019 19:16

Two huge sofas (four people on them if you are sitting up properly!), one chair and an upholstered footstool that we make kids sit on so seven if lounging, nine if not plus two kids.

Six in another room.

Tooearlyforadrink · 27/10/2019 19:18

Why don’t people like other people visiting? Confused

I get the not liking an unannounced visitor but what about close friends and family where we set a specific day/time?

2 chairs, sofa which seats 5 or 6 and 6 chairs around the dining table. Could squeeze another two chairs around table if we had to.

MotorwayDiva · 27/10/2019 19:18

We have a three and a two seater, have two chairs in hallway which can be bought in and numerous beanbags

hallohallohallo · 27/10/2019 19:20

3 seat sofa and a chair for 1. If I have more than 4 people over (which is very rare) then I bring in the 4 dining room chairs. I don't think I've ever had more than 8 people visiting at once.

SpiderCharlotte · 27/10/2019 19:20

3 seater sofa, large armchair, 2 seater 'cuddle' chair, smaller armchair. Our living room is a funny shape so you need to be quite clever with how it's furnished.

custardbear · 27/10/2019 19:20

Lounge has a five seater corner sofa and a chair
Snug a three seater sofa and a love chair which are actually on order so not sure how many it'll comfortably seat

CaptainTurdseye · 27/10/2019 19:21

4 seater and 3 seater sofas, armchair, pouffe, couple of stool storage cubes and a mini chair for the smallest

hallohallohallo · 27/10/2019 19:21

including myself in those numbers of course!

smemorata · 27/10/2019 19:21

3 seater sofa (better for 2) and an armchair. There's 5 of us! Sad

missbattenburg · 27/10/2019 19:22

A 4 seat sofa and a 2 seat sofa.

This is enough space for 3 adults and 3 dogs Grin

DemonWOOOOsse · 27/10/2019 19:24

A 3 seater, a 2 seater, an armchair & a pouffe - so 7 comfortably.
My dining table & 6 chairs is in there too so 13 if necessary.

Nacreous · 27/10/2019 19:25

4 slobbing, 6 not, 8 squished a bit and maybe 11 if we bring the folding chairs and stools out.

Shannith · 27/10/2019 19:26

3 seat sofa. 3 arm chairs. Just me and DD. I like arm chairs.

One is the most expensive item I have ever bought. Got it when pregnant and had fancy FT job. It's beautiful and a design classic and I love it just as much 8 years on.

SleepyKat · 27/10/2019 19:26

2 x 2 seater sofas. I can bring in those fabric fold out picnic chairs if I need them if we have visitors over (rare).

Nousernameforme · 27/10/2019 19:27

Two of the large three seaters which could take 4 at a push a computer chair and a spinny stool thing youngest DC likes to sit on so 10 if you squeeze
