I said the same! Rise above it. Kate was hated. Fergie was hated. Sophie's father was thought unsuitable before thomas markle reported for duty!
Im surprised Harry has gone down this route!

Bizarre.

If he werent fighting with william, william might tell him to just wait til it dies down, as it will.

It's a great shame that the Duke of Sussex announced this legal action at the end of a successful tour. it now means the coverage will be redirected from the worthwhile charities that the couple were endorsing.

I'm not a great fan of the Duke anymore. He had huge public sympathy and has a good heart no doubt, but expecting the taxpayer to pick up the huge tab for his house renovations (he has his own money, why can't he pay for them himself?) and endless news stories about his extravagant gas-guzzling lifestyle while spouting on our need to cut our carbon footprint, stick in the craw.

It wasn't widely published in the UK, but his helicopter pilot resigned as he was fed up of being sent off on shopping errands. Google it.

Nice guy, well-meaning but spoilt and not hugely bright.

I’m fascinated by the helicopter one. Has anyone ever thought about the logistics of it? Meghan wakes at 3 in the morning craving Monster Munch or an avocado and they send a helicopter??? Where does it land- the nearest Texaxo forecourt? Harrod’s roof? It has to be made up, surely?

Did the Queen give William a helicopter? I bet it was second hand....Grin

Rhubarbisevil · 03/10/2019 22:23

I googled it and couldn’t find anything. Link please!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 03/10/2019 22:28

I'm obviously not paying the attention I should because I've not even heard the helicopter one

Actually, as a republican I guess I shouldn't pay attention at all, but there's just something so morbidly fascinating about them all ... like watching a couple of dogs having it away on a verge, when you know you shouldn't watch but can't help yourself

It's said that Andrew had (understandably) refused to take questions after the event, hippo, so maybe the massed throungs thought there was no point?

Although I guess the one person who turned up might have been an optimistic reporter ...

It'd be a bugger to cover in left-over wrapping paper.

I bet they guessed what it was from the shape.

BlockedandDeleted · 03/10/2019 23:44

I bet they guessed what it was from the shape.

The trick is to put it in a box and wrap that @LaMarschallin

BertrandRussell · 04/10/2019 07:29

I bet she wrapped it up so it looked like a polo pony- she would have wanted it to be a proper surprise. Or gave him a toy one with a voucher attached.

The helicopter story reminded me of my old boss who came into the office one day and said quite earnestly, 'It's not having a helicopter that's expensive - it's the fuel costs.'

Ah.

Yes.

Ham fisted moi went to post something thigh-wettingly funny then thought "Nah, that's bollocks crap" and deleted it.

Turns out I posted it.

Embarrassing. Or Blush.
