DDs foot turning inwards after injury, quite worried

4YO DD had a bad fall at school on Thursday last week and hurt her head and hurt her foot. She was limping and her foot was very obviously twisted inwards. She has always had a slightly turned in foot but it seems much worse all of a sudden.
We took her to A&E who x rayed etc but couldn't see anything and have referred us to the fracture clinic on Monday.
She went back to school today but is now limping again and her foot is still very curved in to the point it looks clubbed (very upsetting for me to see as I suffered dreadfully with a severely clubbed foot until I was well in to my teens)
Should I wait to see the fracture clinic or do something else? I don't know if she should be back in school if she's limping everywhere but she's not complaining of any pain.

I'm just so anxious about it and really don't know what to do for the best. It looks so twisted.

How are things OP?

MayorMumbum · 02/10/2019 18:29

She had the test done earlier today. It was very upsetting. They couldn't get enough out of one arm so had to do the other. She screamed Sad. The place they took it from still hasn't stopped bleeding and the bruise is huge already. I'm so incredibly worried but now all I can do is wait for the results.

Really hope you are both doing ok, when will they have the results? Thanks

MayorMumbum · 02/10/2019 19:26

They said possibly Friday afternoon but more likely Monday morning. It's going to be hell waiting Sad.
Her foot is slightly fractured though, the A&E Dr missed it the first time. Could that by why her lymph nodes are so large?
I just need them to tell me she's OK. Finding it difficult to eat/sleep.

The poor little thing and you having to carry on for her Flowers hopefully the results come soon.

timeforawine · 02/10/2019 19:56

Got everything crossed the results come in Friday 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

spiderlight · 02/10/2019 19:58

Oh, bless her. That must have been upsetting for you both. Lymph nodes do sometimes swell after an injury so it might just be her body's response to the fracture. I hope you get news on Friday - it must be horrible waiting.

MayorMumbum · 04/10/2019 10:31

The results are in and we need to see the Dr. I'm so scared. Have an appt for this afternoon.

Seeing the doctor may not be as serious as you are feeling it is.
I had that with DD once-she was low on vit D, but they told me to bring her in that afternoon.

A couple of friends have had more serious news from a blood test and they've been told an ambulance is on the way/to go to A&E prepared to be admitted.

It means they've spotted something, but not necessarily anything major. And it may be a good thing you potentially have answers.

Good luck.

AudacityOfHope · 04/10/2019 12:23

Good luck OP Flowers

T1gerEye · 04/10/2019 13:28

You poor woman. My heart goes out to you, I know what it's like to have your mind completely running away with you like this - and that's all it is at the moment - your mind is in overdrive

Hopefully the dr will be able to put your mind at rest this afternoon and you'll have a plan out in place to treat what's wrong - could be viral you know.

Good luck

Chocolatecake12 · 04/10/2019 13:33

Thinking of you. It’s hard waiting for results. Flowers

MayorMumbum · 04/10/2019 14:21

Her white blood cells are abnormal so we're bringing her to the paed assessment unit.
Thanks all, probably won't update for a bit.

Everyone here is with you. Hugs to you both, and good luck

Witchend · 04/10/2019 15:05

(((hugs))) hope all is well.

A virus can cause abnormal white blood cells. Hopefully it's that.

StayInYourLaneBoy · 04/10/2019 15:07
