Do you remember the exact date you first got together with your OH?

Just that really. I remind DH every year we got together on this day how many years ago and he just rolls his eyes now.

Anyone else have the exact date you got together etched in your mind?

Coincidentally DS was born the day before our first date anniversary. I was hoping he'd come on the day itself.

Yes, I remember the date we 'matched' online, the date we first met, the date we became official and the date we first said I love you. But this all happened this year so it's still fresh! We've not actually had an anniversary yet

I do actually, because it's so ridiculously cheesy and very much Not Us. We met at a Valentine's Bop at his university. We don't mark the occasion, and I would stake my house on him not remembering this.

I can yes but I think that's because we met when we were young (16y) when those kind of details are a bit more important to you, and when getting together with someone was a more specific date rather than a gradual process. I can't remember the date we first met, but the date we started 'going out' I can. We don't particularly 'celebrate' it but I usually acknowledge it. Dh knows the date - again same reasons I think.

No, and it was only just over a year ago, but I’m not sure exactly, and he’s exactly the same.

Yes we know the exact we started talking online and the day we met two days later. We were kind of just seeing each other and having sex, then a week later he asked me if we were serious and I said yes. But we count our " official" date as the day we met as we both weren't seeing anyone else and knew we liked each other.

This is 3rd time round for us.
It was a friend birthday party April 1992, 27 years this time.
Married 15 yrs ..

Yep, we first met on Oct. 17th in a student nightclub. We bumped into each other snogged each others faces off a few times over the next couple of weeks, and officially started going out together on Nov. 7th.

I know it was roughly mid-April. We have emails though from the day after arranging a next date, so we can look it up. We were joking about it when I was pregnant as DS was due around the time of our first date, 7 years later, so the perfect cure for the 7 year itch!

Do you mean the date you started "going out" or the day you first met?

I have no idea what day or month we first met but I remember the day we went "official", as we used that date as our anniversary for 11 years before we got married

New Year's Day here so pretty tricky to forget. I suspect I will also always remember the day my Decree Nisi was granted .... the day before our wedding anniversary!!

Dds birthday is the sane date as our first kiss

Yes, it’s etched in both of our minds as it was an awesome first date - first time we met, kissed, and the rest, so many firsts in one!!

If we ever get married I’m hoping we can do it on the same day as we have celebrated it as our ‘anniversary’ for the last 7 years, so it would be odd to have a new anniversary.

I guess for people who’s relationships have a less obvious beginning it’s hard to define the date, was it when you met, kissed, officially became a couple etc so I get why it isn’t a thing for others.

Enjoying reading all the responses didn't realise it would be a popular thread Smile I count the first day of our relationship as the first time we properly spoke to each other and ended up kissing having been in each other's company beforehand but not conversing. Funnily enough apparently his friend had pointed me out as a potential date and DH said "no she's not my cup of tea". Then a week or so later we actually chatted and hit it off Grin

Additional to my previous post, it was also the first day that we DTD , so it was memorable for several reasons, lol.

We first spotted each other at an under 18s disco in April 1984, then in September 1984 we used to pass each other as I walked to school and he walked to college.

We got together on September 29th 1984. My friend's parents had allowed her to invite three friends from school and two neighbours around to celebrate her 16th birthday while they went out and he was one of the neighbours.
