Have you ever noticed a blip in the matrix?

When I was at university we were driving through and unfamiliar part of town. We noticed a school child running and then when he stopped another child further along the road started. This then happened again with a third child. They were in school uniforms, not sports kits and they didn’t seem to interact with each other. My friend noticed it too and at the time we couldn’t stop laughing. Has anyone else got any stories similar? Blips in the matrix.

I do know on MN story about someone seeing their older selves and then their younger selves outside their childhood home!

A while ago now, watched the back end of slumdog millionaire on Channel 4, few years later it came out...

vinergartom · 28/08/2019 21:10

I’m still very confused by the post about there being 20 mins less an hour now than there were 30 yrs ago. What does that mean? How?!

Dh has just old me one.

He had a very vivid dream when he was about 10 about his younger brother jumping through the wall in their kitchen. He never forgot it.

10 years ago his brother bought the house from his parents and he and dh did some work on it. They took the wall down to make a kitchen diner and dh said his brother came through the wall just like in his dream.

@ AI203
Sounds like ketamine ... any chance someone spiked your drinks???

Nameisthegame · 28/08/2019 21:55

@littletinybubbles no couldn’t be a mix up as my tent and belongings and friends were in the background also the photo was of my friend friend.

Nameisthegame · 28/08/2019 22:00

@LonginesPrime no the photo was taken at download of my friends friend it had our tent etc in the background the guy in the line was a stranger who was a doppelgänger of her friend

Nameisthegame · 28/08/2019 22:06

Tbh I don’t think it’s woo or a glitch a lot of people look similar like everyone has a few people who look like them. Especially if they have a styled look. It was just a odd coincidence that as we were looking through the pictures that the doppelgänger was in front of us.

amusedbush · 28/08/2019 22:07

I thought of this thread earlier because as I drove around the corner into my street, the same guy I saw yesterday stopped in the same place with his dog. I’d never seen them (him and the dog) before yesterday and I got home at a totally different time tonight so it’s not like he has a set routine 🤔

Very weird deja vu feeling.

drinkswineoutofamug · 28/08/2019 22:11

The 20 mins less in an hour I think comes from the theory that the earth isn't spinning as fast so we are loosing time without realising it. Happy to be corrected

Fettuccinecarbonara · 28/08/2019 22:11

@Cheeseoncrumpets I had a friend called John major (criminal lawyer in Plymouth, if you were headed that way on the train?) who died about 6 years ago.

ShowOfHands · 28/08/2019 22:17

Surely the 20 minutes less in an hour is just a reference to how there is never enough time as you get older, it seems to speed up.

FrankiesKnuckle · 28/08/2019 22:20

@Catbrat yes, my dad opened the door to himself 😱
I was there and vividly recall how he looked after and it's still odd because he never answers the door (or house phone)

Many a glitchy thing in our family. My great granny used to practice astro planing apparently!

Gingernaut

I have had the same.

I have been accused of ignoring people when they last saw me, despite being miles away in a totally different county at the time I was accused of ignoring.

I don't think people are convinced when I say it really was not me.

I think I know who the other person is and it's someone I was at school with, they carried in living in the area, after I had left a few years previously.

myohmywhatawonderfulday · 29/08/2019 00:15

I used to go to an exercise class and I always got a funny vibe off a girl. But it was quite a friendly bunch overall so I made an effort. We went to the pub and she was looking at me really strangely and so I said “what are you thinking about?” And I can only describe it as falling out of time. The pub went blurry and she said in a very odd voice “Jealous”. Then it was over and I could see from everyone chatting around me that they had not skipped a beat.
I didn’t really like going to that exercise class after that. Guess I found out what she was thinking about!

HelgaHufflepuff76 · 29/08/2019 00:22

I always get a really odd reaction to these kind of threads. My eyes just fill with tears! I'm not crying exactly, but I feel weirdly emotional. Does anyone else get this?

tirednhungry247 · 29/08/2019 07:26

@HelgaHufflepuff76 I don't get the same reaction on these threads, but I do when it comes to like spiritual experiences people have had etc if they are explaining them I just well up.

I think it's overwhelming that people go through this kind of stuff!

Nutkin123 · 29/08/2019 07:31

Yes! @HelgaHufflepuff76, especially if people talk about ghosts - I always cry and can't help it!

Eistigi · 29/08/2019 07:40

Some of these have given me goosebumps 😱

Deathraystare · 29/08/2019 07:58

The only 'woo' thing was a doppelganger but as another poster said, enough people look similar. Damn. Would have liked to be unique!

But no. There is another fat, untidy woman with my hair colouring, who at the time also wore a beige coat and a "For fuck's sake" expression while trying to cross the road and getting fed up at car drivers who drive slow enough to annoy you but too fast to cross in front of (you know they will speed up suddenly as you cross!).

This was quite a few years ago and was where I used to live.

I still 'see' my Dad who is now dead. I 'see' my 'little' brother who is very much alive but nowhere near where I normally see him!

I also 'see' one of the friends a lot but normally slightly different clothing.

Gingernaut · 29/08/2019 08:19

@OneThreadOnly0101, the funny thing is, this "Sarah" seemed to be quite the traveller.

It wasn't one specific area of London, it was central, west, south and east London.

You could never predict where the next "Sarah" guy popped up.....

DuggeesWoggle · 29/08/2019 09:04

theluckiest I always used to wake up just before my son did when he was in the cot next to me. Either a hormonal thing - I was bf, so maybe my body was just ready for the next feed, or he had made a shuffling sound in his sleep or something that woke me before he woke properly

I remember having friends over when I was about 15 or 16 and saying "wouldn't it be weird if we turned on the TV and something huge had happened?". We turned the TV on to the news of the Manchester IRA bombing.

I used to walk along a long bridge into town and was amazed how often I would pass someone when I was going in to town and then pass the exact same person at the exact same place going home again. Not at the same time every day either, not like seeing the same people on the way to and from work. It still happens now. I guess it's just coincidence but it always makes me take notice.

I love some of these though, completely Shock whether true or not!

MeganTheVegan · 29/08/2019 09:19

I was driving through a city in South East Asia. There was this guy standing at a bus stop. He caught my eye as he had quite bushy hair which was unusual for this part of the world.

Our eyes met briefly and I had this overwhelming feeling of dread. Like nothing I had ever experienced before. Complete and utter fear. The odd thing was that when I had driven past him, I looked in the rear view mirror and he had moved into the road and was intently looking at my car, with his mouth open and a similar expression of absolute fear on his face.

I would love to know what that was all about.

tirednhungry247 · 29/08/2019 09:27

@MeganTheVegan that would've scared the bejesus out of me
