Do you think duke of Cambridge's flybe flight was already booked?

Or only booked after prince Harry's controversial Private jet trip?

Photos taken by the public in a public place don’t need permission for use.

BertrandRussell · 22/08/2019 17:08

“You keep igoring my point - the person he spoke to would be highly unlikely to change the hotel's policy on such a matter”

Well, it might have been the manager- who knows? But in any case, whoever it was would certainly have been able not to bag up Harty’s shirts.

IcedPurple · 22/08/2019 17:08

That is true. However, no media outlet which values its relationship with the royals would publish a photo of the Cambridge kids without at least a nod and a wink from the palace.

Harry seems like the type who would ignore his rich pals Clooneys using private jets like a family car but would pull up their housekeeper for using a plastic bag.

I get that you're desperate to get 'Harty' off the hook here (for why?), so I'll repeat my question: How many plastic bags would equal the emission of even one of 'Harty's' private jets? Hundreds? Thousands? Millions?

nononever · 22/08/2019 17:11

Well, they would be if it had been arranged with the royal seal of approval!

But even if the pics were taken by a member of the public, I don't think they would have been published without the Cambridge's consent, as the children are clearly shown.

They are hardly professional photos and anyway they are quite freely photographed in the press, children included. It's not a big thing the Royal family arriving in Aberdeen for Balmoral, photos of them arriving never even hit the local news. They generally go about their own business and no-one bats an eyelid even when Her Maj and Camilla pop into the local coffee shop of a morning.

Precisely. You often see the more candid photos in foreign press.

IcedPurple · 22/08/2019 17:14

Only at official or semi-official events.

You will very, very rarely see a pic of the Cambridge kids which has not been sanctioned by the palace. Certainly, no paper would publish them if they hoped to maintain a relationship with the royals, which they all do.

Some army vet organisaiton (I think) tweeted a picture of the kids a few weeks ago, at a public event. It was removed within hours.

TheFairyCaravan · 22/08/2019 17:14

If the person you spoke to was a lowly employee not in a position to do anything about it, then yes, you were.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

So no use any of us reusing carrier bags then?

I just think that it’s ridiculous to make stuff up. And you made practically that whole story up. Perfect example of what the press do.

kenandbarbie · 22/08/2019 17:18

Whether he lectured a hotel employee or manager. He is a hypocrite.

You still haven't answered my questions.

And no, if prats like your hero go on using private jets like buses, then there is actually no real point in recycling plastic bags.

I don't doubt that two weeks ago, you'd have been saying the story of the private jets was some evil tabloid rumour against poor put-upon Haz and Megz too.

Why people are so invested in defending this duo genuinely baffles me.

Redglitter · 22/08/2019 17:21

Whether it was pre planned or booked as a result of the storm over H&M private planes the Cambridges PR team could certainly teach the Sussexes team a thing or 2

nononever · 22/08/2019 17:21

Only at official or semi-official events.

I would have no idea about that as I don't tend to read much about them so no clue who is allowed to take photos of them. I'm sure plenty plenty members of public take photos of them at public events though.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 22/08/2019 17:21

they've ever got ordinary flights before?

No or i do nt know we'd have heard about it before - publicity stunt to humilate littoe brother
Shame on you william for going along with it!!! L

Nope. Stupid thing to do.

The children are very rarely at public events though. But when they are, photos would be OK.

🙄🙄🙄 If you read this thread you'll see loads of examples over the years where William & Kate have flown commercial flights. It's not all about Harry

BertrandRussell · 22/08/2019 17:27

Norwich airport is an hour away from Anmer. There are only budget flights from Norwich to Aberdeen. So an easy bit of publicity

MangoFeverDream · 22/08/2019 17:28

I do think this was a bit mean on William’s part though, making it so very public (unnecessarily so, imo)

GlitchStitch · 22/08/2019 17:37

Plenty of cheap flights from Heathrow to Nice. I believe Heathrow is very close to Frogmore Cottage, much quicker than an hour.

Rachelle11 · 22/08/2019 17:40

How is this mean? You think William is posting selfies of himself on a commercial plane on instagram?

'I loved Meghan. I love Suits, followed her blog, I live in Toronto at the moment. Her and Harry have done this to themselves though. And no amount of yelling bullying or racism can erase their own choices.

This is not William's problem. Not to mention Will and Kate have flown commercial for years!

SusieOwl4 · 22/08/2019 17:43

people conveniently forget that Megan is very rich in her own right , so a lot of things the press are picking up on ARE none of our business .

IcedPurple · 22/08/2019 17:46

She was worth maybe a few million at the very very most. That's not 'very rich' in private jet and custom couture terms.

And do you seriously think she pays for anything major out of her own money? The Duchy buys her clothes (or she gets them as freebies even though that's not allowed), you and I the taxpayer pay for her security and her home renovations, and her 'friends' pay for her private jets.

What major expenses do you know for a fact she has personally covered?

MagsAndMaeve · 22/08/2019 17:49

Apparently Harry is quite mean and doesn't like to pay for stuff. Cressida reportedly dumped him when he refused to pay for flights to his friend's wedding.

I think a lot of the royals live off "gifts" from friends, which of course is in return for their patronage/social standing. Its quite awful really, when you consider that most people in professional positions aren't allowed to accept much more than a cheap bottle of wine or a box of chocolates!
