Do I have to feed my children?

We have no food in the house and it's raining. I can't be bothered. Missing a meal will be good for them, right?

Are you ok??

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2019 16:54

Oh I am fine sorry this was meant to be lighthearted but I can see why it sounds despairing :)

Foraging is terribly popular nowadays and very character building for children. You’re doing them a favour.

Order a takeaway.

ipswichwitch · 13/07/2019 16:55

They’ll be fine, tell em it’s good for morale

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2019 16:55

DH is here and has offered to go shopping but he will get all the wrong stuff. And cheesecake.

Any dog food in the house? Very nutritious

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/07/2019 16:56

Freezer lucky dip?

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2019 16:56

Sadly they're in their pyjamas already, went to the park earlier and got soaked so had a (very) early shower. Right I am braving the elements. And the co-op.

I’d actually send my DH if he came back with cheesecake. He just buys shite like spanners and 57 varieties of barbecue sauce

DMCWelshcakes · 13/07/2019 16:57

Nah. They'll only grow & then you'll have to buy them new clothes and shoes.

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2019 16:57

Oooh freezer lucky dip. I've already got prawns out to defrost so whatever we have needs to vaguely go. We were going to have a barbecue!

The rain is heavier now. I'm sure if I look hard enough I could find a weather warning telling me not to travel.

Someone talk to me. I'm running out of distractions.

Kudos for getting your DCs ready for bed at 5 o’clock.

Im afraid you do have to feed them, it’s in the rules.

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2019 17:03

Dammit. Right in off then. Urgh

PotteringAlong · 13/07/2019 17:04

Just get DH to bbq - he just needs an umberella?

MorgenMuffel · 13/07/2019 17:05

I second takeaway. And sending DH out for cheesecake for dessert Grin

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2019 17:05

Everything is soggy and horrible. I dont even want to open the door.

OP posts:
Blankspace4 · 13/07/2019 17:07

Haha typical me being concerned when it was just something lighthearted!! 🤦‍♀️

I’d say Takeaway - it’s Saturday night after all!

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/07/2019 17:07

Plain prawns it is then, besides they're protein, MN loves protein.

StealthPolarBear · 13/07/2019 17:07

Take away is a sore point, nowhere delivers so we'd have to go out anywah
