Continuing the one about Carol, Dick and the “ free “ holiday .

Carol has replied to Anne saying she is shocked that Anne would cancel her flight after promising it. Anne has told her that she gave her no option .
Both Barbara and I have messaged Carol saying that she has behaved badly and should apologise to Anne.

I think the response "I don't think there is anything to discuss" is quite sufficient.
My view is that she is going to try and persuade you (especially Anne) to allow her to come plus Dick and give you loads of reasons why you should , and reassure you that they won't get in your way, you will hardly know that they are there.
My guess is she hasn't told Dick that her flight has been cancelled, because he will go apeshit as he has it all worked out and he is obviously not used to women going against him!

Poor poor Anne, she seems so lovely....I hope she will look back on this one day and laugh rather than have it spoil her holiday

Poor Anne, with whatever she’s been through & now having to deal with these pair of dicks. I’ve been following the thread & have met both some cheeky fuckers & nasty bastards in my time but this pair top the lot. Have a fab holiday op, make a fuss of the lovely Anne x

I bet that, if the three of you said you’d be willing to meet up but couldn’t do it until after the holiday (because you are all busy getting ready), Carol would be a lot less keen to meet - there would be no point because there would be no chance of guilting her way back onto the holiday.

I hope I am being cynical, but I doubt it.

@FionasWineShow clearly you have doubts about all this which is fair enough but not sure why I would invent it ?

The meeting would have been to save face, to wail about how she has been so hurt not being included after all the support she gave Anne, Its not her fault if she has anxiety.... Too little too late !

Why would she want Barbara and the OP to tag along...?

Well thanks to reading the whole of this and previous thread tonight (47 pages!!) I know realise I have missed Emmerdale and the 1st part of Corrie!
Not that I care for one second, this is the most fun ive had in ages, totally invested! Have a great holiday the 3 of you, you certainly deserve it x

Given you've been friends a long time i'm sure her 'anxiety' about travelling/without Dick would have become apparent ages ago if it were true.

i bet they both decided this would be a cheap/free holiday opportunity for them.
i wonder if they will still go?
