Carol has replied to Anne saying she is shocked that Anne would cancel her flight after promising it. Anne has told her that she gave her no option .
Both Barbara and I have messaged Carol saying that she has behaved badly and should apologise to Anne.

@CassianAndor yes Carol doesn’t know that Dick rang the villa owner as Anne told her! Carol played dumb! Making her even more manipulative and sly.

Even if you discuss what the hell is she expecting?

Flight is cancelled.

Sounds like the simple truth to me - and well done to you and Barbara for backing her up

Personally I'd have thought a "meet up" a bit risky; what are you going to do if she brings Dick, and hasn't Anne put up with enough, without further haranguing?

And while it's not up to me, you might want to think twice before mentioning any website on here, never mind linking it. Dick could well be trawling rental sites already, and while he's unlikely to succeed because Spain's a big place, there seems little sense in broadcasting it

My dh would miss me if i was going on a girls holiday, but no way would he want to muscle in! But a holiday where he's the only man among 4 cackling women?? His idea of a nightmare 😂

Carol wants to meet up so that she can star in her own tearful production of, “I didn’t do anything wrong!”.

There will be tears, bewilderment, cunning and slyness all aimed at making Anne look like a bad person and Carol and Dick being bigged up as the harmless couple who have done no wrong and who are innocent victims in the whole sorry saga.

OMG! Have read thread 1 and now 2. Please tell me they are in real life called Chris and Pete. I know a real life Pete who has managed to wheedle his way into work do's and many, many other social occasions and not wanted to contribute to any. One time he ordered a meal off the starter menu but wanted it as a main course (which comes out twice as big obviously) but when the bill came, he and his wife only wanted to pay a starter price. I now refuse to go to any event he is attending and so do a lot of others. One colleague has actually now told his wife that it is employees only and not spouses and that did not go down well.

Please go and meet Carole - said purely for selfish reasons as I need to know wtf she would say!

You’re right not to meet. Dick would turn up and try and bully you, plus there’s just no point.

Carole Doesn’t see anything wrong with blagging a free couples holiday off the generosity of Anne and she never will.
