Carol has replied to Anne saying she is shocked that Anne would cancel her flight after promising it. Anne has told her that she gave her no option .
Both Barbara and I have messaged Carol saying that she has behaved badly and should apologise to Anne.

Oh my goodness, what a storm Carol has created here. What should have been a lovely holiday has turned into a total stress fest for poor Anne. I really hope the three of you can switch off and have an amazing time. If it were me I would be changing the dates, country, everything, just to avoid any potential drama. But probably it's too late with deposits and annual leave now.

I'm glad that Anne has cancelled the flight and hope she didn't lose too much money on it. Still cheaper than a week with a pair of CFs in a villa though.

I would have messaged back - what did you expect when you didn't listen to us all saying he's not invited? Even more so when he's bragging about his free holiday and harassing the villa owner. And don't give me the bollocks about it wasn't him. We ALL know it was him. You still don't understand? You DONT invite other people into other peoples holidays or anything else.

I really don't think this is the last of it. They are determined to have a free holiday.

Actually I'd not send Carol a link to the threads, a) because she may inadvertently get information about the holiday which will help her and Dick but, more importantly,
b) it doesn't sound as though Anne is the type of person who'd want this issue bandied about any more than it has been...

Poor Anne, could you and Barbara organise a gift basket/champagne surprise with the help of the villa owner to be waiting for her when you arrive.

I read your thread the other day and was shocked then, now I have seen your updates and can't believe the CFery. Not only from Dick but Carol, she must have known all along you wouldn't be happy due to the way she didn't tell you he'd booked a flight.
