Carol has replied to Anne saying she is shocked that Anne would cancel her flight after promising it. Anne has told her that she gave her no option .
Both Barbara and I have messaged Carol saying that she has behaved badly and should apologise to Anne.

Just found the previous thread and have read through that and this one. Bloody hell, it’s like a saga. Let us know how the holiday goes, I’m shocked but not really shocked that people act like this. It’s so embarrassing and pathetic.

JudefromJersey · 25/06/2019 12:36

@TheGrapefulDread Phew! Such a relief. 👊

lololove · 25/06/2019 15:06

Love the casting 😂😂

Enjoy!

StCharlotte · 25/06/2019 16:36

I'm guessing no news is good news.

2919HereWeGo · 25/06/2019 22:03

Can anyone post a link to the first thread - I'd like to read the back story.

TemptingTess · 25/06/2019 22:26

Friend wants her DH to come on all female holiday. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/3613529-Friend-wants-her-DH-to-come-on-all-female-holiday

AnneTwackie · 26/06/2019 12:14

Do Anne and Barbara know about this thread?
Have a great time OP, send us a postcard!

2919HereWeGo · 26/06/2019 15:29

Thank you @TemptingTess

GreigLaidlawsbarofsoap · 27/06/2019 13:43

It's finally sunny here in my patch of north Scotland which made me think of the holiday ladies and hoping all is fun and drama free!

JudefromJersey · 27/06/2019 14:04

Is it just me or is anyone else getting notifications via email when a new message has been posted on this thread and eagerly clicking on it hoping for an update from OP and feeling a bit sad when it isn't. This despite knowing (assuming) that clearly there was no further drama or she would have been back with an update. And further feeling like a bit of a loser because the OP is clearly enjoying her holiday and not concerned with social media unlike myself

Clearly over invested

(Before anyone slates me for the use of the word myself here, I'm using it in the vernacular rather than in a grammatically dubious fashion)

S1naidSucks · 27/06/2019 15:10

It’s ok, JudefromJersey, I wouldn’t of told you of. 😉

I’m aware I’ve how got your hopes up for nothing. 😁

HeronLanyon · 27/06/2019 15:10

I am pondering myself.

S1naidSucks · 27/06/2019 15:12

That sounds rude. I know, I’ve a filthy mind. 😳

HeronLanyon · 27/06/2019 16:41

s1 inagree and it wasn’t very clear either. I was pondering as to whether to upbraid judefromjersey whose defence re the ‘myself’ is very dodgy imo. Grin back to pondering myself.

S1naidSucks · 27/06/2019 16:50

😁

JudefromJersey · 27/06/2019 17:25

Ah come on now, where I come from (not Jersey), saying “How’s yourself/himself” is a colloquial way of saying How are you/how is he? ☘️

TitianaTitsling · 27/06/2019 18:01

Late to the casting but I have the image of the actors who played the Dursleys as Dick and Carole!

HeronLanyon · 27/06/2019 18:49

jude FROMJERSEY A thousand proper apologies. You said it. I didn’t believe it. Apols.

HeronLanyon · 27/06/2019 18:49

I did think it sounded Irish and your name me doubt the defence.

ProfessorofPerspective · 27/06/2019 19:10

My husband occasionally wears salmon coloured khaki/chino style trousers in the summer. They’re slightly skinny and dare I say it, quite cool. We do sometimes muse as to whether we would fall into the category of red trouser brigade purely on the basis of his summer trouser choice but given we are generally self aware, I hope not.

As long as they don't come up to his armpits, you should be ok.

In this part of the West Country, I have seen people wearing plus fours, without any irony whatseover, in Waitrose.

Dowser · 27/06/2019 19:31

I’m sorry but Richard briers checked out a few years ago ☹️

EBearhug · 27/06/2019 21:16

I’m sorry but Richard briers checked out a few years ago ☹️

This is true, but more pertinently, about a month later, so did Richard Griffiths, who played Vernon Dursley.

TitianaTitsling · 27/06/2019 21:38

Oh no!

Jux · 27/06/2019 23:03

I hope the 3 of you are having the holiday of a life time - the type that you can't stop talking about, and keep on bursting out laughing at sudden recollections of what Anne did and what Barbara said and the really dishy waiter who follow the 3 of you around for half a day, and the other tourist from the next door villa who kept gettiing lost so followed you all about too so he cold be sure of getting 'home', but who was such a lovely gentleman that you rather enjoyed his company (and his gin) that none of you minded and all the other weird and wonderful things you're experiencing right now........

PunishmentSnart · 28/06/2019 10:51

Yessssssss, the Dursleys are in my head!!
