Carol has replied to Anne saying she is shocked that Anne would cancel her flight after promising it. Anne has told her that she gave her no option .
Both Barbara and I have messaged Carol saying that she has behaved badly and should apologise to Anne.

The trouble with this thread is that I actually know a Carol and Dick who are married - though these days he mostly calls himself Richard. I keep picturing them when I read the names.

My husband occasionally wears salmon coloured khaki/chino style trousers in the summer. They’re slightly skinny and dare I say it, quite cool. We do sometimes muse as to whether we would fall into the category of red trouser brigade purely on the basis of his summer trouser choice but given we are generally self aware, I hope not.
I do have a friend who wears red fat cords. He is a chinless ex boarding Hugh Grant type (sweet rather than hurrah Henry however) and there’s no irony in his choice.
But I digress, I really am dying to know if Dick(head) and Carole showed up at the airport but I have a feeling OP would have updated if that were the case.
