Hand hold: DH missing after "accident"

I know it's not been long, but this is really out of character and not sure what to do next.

Rang my DH on his mobile to let him know what time I'd get in and he didn't answer - often happens so then call him on work line. His work said he'd called in on way back in after lunch saying he'd been in a car accident but was fine, and neither hide nor hair heard since. That's all I know - no indication of the severity of the accident or where he or my car (which he drives) have got to.

I've been trying him on his mobile countless times, called 101 to see if they've got him somewhere, also A&E - but no joy.

He's been off grid for about 5 hours now, when he'd normally have picked me up, got the Tesco and we'd be sitting starting our weekend. But not even a text to let me know he's not dead in a ditch, and I don't have that phone tracker either on this latest handset.

Starting to panic slightly - if anyone is around for a hand hold or some pointers as to how I can track him down that's would be much appreciated....

Likely at the police station, helping them with inquiries. Perhaps he was driving too quickly or left the scene?

Veterinari · 07/06/2019 20:11

Hmmm... well that’s good news but it sounds like he might have been arrested. Is it possible he could have been over the limit when he had the accident?

SheepOnRafts · 07/06/2019 20:11

I’m glad he’s safe. I’d guess he may be in custody. That is all they can say.

Chartreuser · 07/06/2019 20:11

Could he have been drinking with lunch when he crashed? And that's why he's in the nick?

So sorry, hope you get more news soon but glad he's safe

So sorry you're going through this.

So is that all the police were willing to tell you? How strange, and what about your car?

MrsMozartMkII · 07/06/2019 20:11

Bloody hell! Went can't 101 tell you where he is?

Can you get to the local police stations in person?

twirlypoo · 07/06/2019 20:11

Okay, so the good part is you know he is safe. Everything else you can deal with later. One step at a time, he’s okay. Can you get someone to come and be with you? You need some tea life support for this I think Flowers

gubbsywubbsy · 07/06/2019 20:11

Oh blimey .. that's scary .. do you think he may have been arrested for dangerous driving?
Hope you get some info either way soon!

glenthebattleostrich · 07/06/2019 20:12

Oh no, hope everything works out OP

Stickywhitelovepiss · 07/06/2019 20:12

Or was over the limit?

OP posts:
Whyknot · 07/06/2019 20:12

Does that mean they have him in custody? I hope you get some answers soon op.

StealthPolarBear · 07/06/2019 20:12

Really??

JustGettingStarted · 07/06/2019 20:12

At least you know he's OK!

anitagreen · 07/06/2019 20:12

@Stickywhitelovepiss bloody hell I'm wondering if he's got help maybe today was a turning point to sort out his depression? And just doesn't know how to speak to you yet men often worry about coming across weaker which is absolute not true at all.

ReganSomerset · 07/06/2019 20:12

Oh dear, OP. So, do you just have to wait until he decides to contact you then?

StealthPolarBear · 07/06/2019 20:12

Does that mean custody then. Op you need someone with you

bluebluezoo · 07/06/2019 20:12

He’s in custody and hasn’t given permission to disclose to you.

Aimily · 07/06/2019 20:13

Well at least you know he's OK... That's a positive, whatever has happened he's probably angry at himself so unwilling to let you get angry at him too, although going a stupid way around it?

Nameusernameuser · 07/06/2019 20:13

Good and bad news. At least he's safe and well. Look after yourself OP!

ilapila · 07/06/2019 20:13

Would the police tell you if he was in custody. Hope you have a happy outcome. X

Susannach · 07/06/2019 20:14

Glad he’s safe OP, hope you get proper answers soon!

hopewardrobe · 07/06/2019 20:15

Hi OP. I had something happen very similar involving my brother. I had the same response from the police. They knew where he was but wouldn't tell me, except to say he was safe. He had been arrested for drink driving. So I wonder if maybe he is in custody regarding the accident.

Nooob · 07/06/2019 20:15

How awful they can't tell you. I hope all is okay Thanks

Sparklingfairylights · 07/06/2019 20:15

Oh god you poor thing.
