Hand hold: DH missing after "accident"

I know it's not been long, but this is really out of character and not sure what to do next.

Rang my DH on his mobile to let him know what time I'd get in and he didn't answer - often happens so then call him on work line. His work said he'd called in on way back in after lunch saying he'd been in a car accident but was fine, and neither hide nor hair heard since. That's all I know - no indication of the severity of the accident or where he or my car (which he drives) have got to.

I've been trying him on his mobile countless times, called 101 to see if they've got him somewhere, also A&E - but no joy.

He's been off grid for about 5 hours now, when he'd normally have picked me up, got the Tesco and we'd be sitting starting our weekend. But not even a text to let me know he's not dead in a ditch, and I don't have that phone tracker either on this latest handset.

Starting to panic slightly - if anyone is around for a hand hold or some pointers as to how I can track him down that's would be much appreciated....

I think it’s odd he was well enough to call work but not tell you.

Is his passport missing? Do you have online banking that you can check for any withdrawals?

ivegotthisyeah · 07/06/2019 20:02

Get a friend to drive you around the hospitals and pubs x

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 07/06/2019 20:02

Have u rang any other family/friends to see if they have heard off him?

Everythingmagnolia · 07/06/2019 20:03

Do you have anyone with you OP?

iMatter · 07/06/2019 20:03

Probably a daft question but does he know your mobile number (rather than relying on the number being programmed into his phone)?

I know dh's and could call him from a phone box/hospital etc but I don't think he knows mine (even though I've had the same number for about 20 years!)

I hope it all works out well for you OP

Stickywhitelovepiss · 07/06/2019 20:04

Definitely not in bed!

Yes, absolutely fully insured. He would have had to get drunk on his pop home for lunch, so really unlikely. Our relationship is sound but he does know I'd less than impressed.

Yes to depression and anxiety though, and there's a potential that could be a factor, though again that wouldn't be his normal MO.

Not a football fan or pub-goer in general - we are generally homebodies, who'd normally be eating dinner with a glass of wine in front of the TV at this point.

No access to internet bankning and I think he's got his laptop in the car.

Will try breakdown company once off the phone to 101 (back on hold again).

Hope everything is ok OP Flowers

Kittykat93 · 07/06/2019 20:05

Very odd. You've done all the checks including police, hospitals insurance etc that I can think of. I reckon he's smashed the car up and is trying to get someone to fix it before he tells you? Either way he should let you know he's okay

Iwantacookie · 07/06/2019 20:05

Fingers crossed he'll back be soon.
But in meantime report it to 101.

Rosielily · 07/06/2019 20:07

Even if he couldn't remember your mobile, do you have a land line?

CatkinToadflax · 07/06/2019 20:07

Sending a hand hold x Flowers

notapizzaeater · 07/06/2019 20:07

Really odd if it's out of character - hope police can advise

ivegotthisyeah · 07/06/2019 20:08

If he suffers with depression & anxiety I think it's defo time to get the police involved. Hope he walks through the door soon x

youwouldthink · 07/06/2019 20:08

If you have access to his mobile phone details i.e. password for account you can call the provider. Their tech team will be able to see the last area/mast connected to and that may give you a clue..Hope you get some resolve soon!

Pinkyponkcustard · 07/06/2019 20:08

Sending another handhold. Hope you find him soon x

W0rriedMum · 07/06/2019 20:09

Wishing you well OP. I hope he shows up quickly now.

RandomWok · 07/06/2019 20:09

Hope everything works out for you OP.

Stickywhitelovepiss · 07/06/2019 20:09

FUCK.

On going down the missing person route, 101 now say he is safe and well but they know where he is, but can't tell me more than that.

Russell19 · 07/06/2019 20:10

Hope you get good news soon!

Echobelly · 07/06/2019 20:10

I guess that's both good and bad news, I hope things turn out not to be too bad. Everything crossed for your both.

IndieTara · 07/06/2019 20:10

Everything crossed for you OP

BirdandSparrow · 07/06/2019 20:10

He's been arrested then by the sounds of it.

Mummy0ftwo12 · 07/06/2019 20:11

does that mean he is with them?

CormoranStrike · 07/06/2019 20:11

Safe and well is good.

Has he been arrested?

Stickywhitelovepiss · 07/06/2019 20:11

But have taken my contact details and request to know where OH/car are, and asked the officers in that area to ring me back - God knows when that will be.
